MTV רוסיה (ברוסית: MTV Россия) הוא ערוץ מוזיקה הפועל 24 שעות ביממה והוא ערוץ לקליטה חופשית המהווה ערוץ בידור כללי שניתן לקלוט בכל שטחי הפדרציה הרוסית. במסגרת הסכם רישוי של ViacomCBS Networks EMEAA הערוץ הופעל על ידי חברת Profmedia. מיוני 2013, VIMN רוסיה הודיעה כי תפעיל את הערוץ לאחר שההסכם בין שני ארגוני התקשורת ייפסק.[1] VIMN רוסיה השיקה מחדש את הערוץ בשם MTV Russia ב-1 באוקטובר 2013, שמפעילה גם את אתר האינטרנט mtv.ru.

בעלות

בשנת 1998 חתמה Viacom הבינלאומית ושלוחתה באירופה (VIMN Europe) על הסכם ארוך טווח עם Biz Enterprises להשקת ערוץ מוזיקה הפועל 24 שעות ביממה בפדרציה הרוסית.

MTV הפך למותג הטלוויזיה האמריקני הראשון שהתמקם ברוסיה. בשנת 2007 חתמה VIMN אירופה על הסכם חדש עם חברת פרופמדיה (Profmedia) להפעלת הערוץ יחד עם חברת VH1. תחת בעלותה של פרופמדיה הערוץ עבר משידור תוכניות מוכוונות למוזיקה לתוכניות נוער. מהלך זה התגלה כמצליח מאוד עבור בעליו החדשים שכן מחקר שערך VIMN הראה כי הצופים הרוסים מעדיפים תוכניות מוזיקה על פני תוכניות ריאליטי.[1]

פרופמדיה הודיעה בדצמבר 2012 כי הם לא יפעילו עוד את MTV רוסיה החל מ-1 ביוני 2013 ויחליפו את הערוץ בערוץ בידור כללי חדש בשם "שישי!".[2] ב-30 במאי 2013 הודיעה VIMA רוסיה, כי Viacom International Networks International Division היא שתפעיל מחדש את MTV ברוסיה החל מ-1 באוקטובר 2013 ותופעל לחלוטין על ידי VIMN רוסיה מלונדון.[3][4] כחלק מההפעלה מחדש של MTV הושק 'הפנים של MTV רוסיה' כתחרות למציאת מגיש לערוץ שינחה את MTV News.

גרסת HD של MTV רוסיה הושקה גם היא ב-1 באוקטובר 2013. ויאקום מפעילה כיום את MTV רוסיה, VH1 רוסיה וניקלודיאון רוסיה.

פרסי המוזיקה והקולנוע של MTV רוסיה

בעקבות ההצלחה של פרסי המוזיקה של MTV אירופה, השיקה Viacom תוכנית פרסים מקומית לרוסיה בשם MTV Russia Awards. טקס הפרסים הראשון החל בשנת 2004 ושודר בערוץ מדי שנה עד 2009. הצגת הפרסים נערכה על ידי אמנים מקומיים ובינלאומיים. זוכה פרס 'אמן השנה' היה ממשיך לזכות גם בזוכה האמן הרוסי הטוב ביותר ב-MTV Europe Music Awards. רוסיה עדיין מיוצגת ב-MTV EMA.

בעקבות ההצלחה של פרסי המוזיקה המקומית ברוסיה, בשנת 2006 הושק MTV Russia Movie Awards והנחו אותו שחקנים מקומיים ובינלאומיים כמו פמלה אנדרסון בשנת 2007 ופריס הילטון בשנת 2008. הטקסים נערכו עד אפריל 2009.
