Head Above Water (בעברית: ראש מעל המים) הוא אלבום האולפן השישי של הזמרת-יוצרת הקנדית אבריל לאבין.[2] האלבום יצא לאור ב-15 בפברואר 2019 על ידי חברת התקליטים BMG רייטס מנג'מנט.[2]

זהו אלבומה הראשון מאז 2013, מה שהופך את האלבום הזה לאלבום שיצא בהכי הרבה מרווח זמן מקודמו.[3]

רקע

בניגוד לאלבומיה הקודמים היא הייתה שותפה לחלק מהפקת שירי האלבום שהיא משתפת פעולה עם מפיקים נוספים ביניהם בעלה לשעבר צ'אד קרוגר, סטפן מוקסיו, כריס בייספורד, יוהאן קרלרסון, לורן כריסטי (מהצמד המטריס) ועוד.

מבחינה לירית, האלבום שאב השראה מהמאבק שלה במחלת הליים אותו היא תיארה כ-"מסע רגשי".

סינגלים

שיר הנושא יצא לאור כסינגל הראשון מהאלבום בספטמבר 2018. שלושה חודשים לאחר מכן יצא לאור הסינגל השי "Tell Me It's Over". הסינגל השלישי מהאלבום היה השיר "Dumb Blonde" אשר יצא לאור בסמוך ליציאת האלבום בשיתוף עם הראפרית ניקי מינאז' והשיר "I Fell in Love with the Devil" יצא לאור כסינגל הרביעי מהאלבום.

האלבום שהה 6 שבועות בחמישייה הפותחת במצעד האלבומים הקנדי. על מנת לקדם את האלבום יצאה בספטמבר האחרון לסיבוב ההופעות "Head Above Water Tour". זהו סיבוב ההופעות הראשון שלה מזה 5 שנים. כל המופעים שהיו צריכים להתקיים בשנת 2020, בוטלו עקב התפרצות נגיף קורונה-ווהאן.[4]
