888 אחזקות (באנגלית: Holdings‏ 888) היא חברה המפתחת ומפעילה משחקי הימורים באינטרנט. החברה רשומה בגיברלטר, ונסחרת בבורסה לניירות ערך בלונדון.

החברה פעילה בכ-200 מדינות ברחבי העולם. נכון לשנת 2015 החברה מעסיקה כ-1,300 עובדים במרכז הפיתוח העיקרי שלה בהרצליה, בגיברלטר, באנטיגואה ובלונדון.

היסטוריה

888 אחזקות הוקמה בשנת 1997 על ידי האחים אבי ואהרון שקד והאחים שי ורון בן-יצחק. בשנת 2006 הונפקה החברה בבורסה לניירות ערך בלונדון לפי שווי שוק של 590 מיליון ליש"ט. עד להנפקה החזיקו האחים שקד בכ-70% ממניות החברה, והאחים בן-יצחק בכ-23% ממניות החברה. לאחר ההנפקה ירדו שיעורי אחזקתם לכ-52% ולכ-17% בהתאמה.[2] במהלך 2016 מכרו האחים בן-יצחק את עיקר אחזקתם בחברה, ובמהלך 2017 מכרו יורשי אהרון שקד את מלוא אחזקתם בחברה.[3]

מכיוון שהימורים אסורים בישראל, החברה פעלה בעיקר באירופה ובארצות הברית. מאז חקיקת החוק בסנאט האמריקני המגביל בצורה קשה את אפשרות ההימורים המקוונים בארצות הברית, מתמקדת החברה בעיקר בשוק האירופי. עד חקיקת חוק זה היו כ-50% מהכנסותיה של החברה מארצות הברית.[4]

בשנת 2007 רכשה את פעילות משחקי הבינגו של חברת Globalcom Limited תמורת 43.4 מיליון דולר.[5]

בתחילת דרכה החברה עסקה רק בהפעלת שירותי הימורים מול המהמרים עצמם, אך בשנת 2008 החלה גם לספק תשתיות טכניות עבור מפעילי אתרי הימורים אחרים.[6]

בשנת 2012 חתמה עם פייסבוק על הסכם שיאפשר לה להפעיל את מרבית משחקי ההימורים בפייסבוק.[7]

בשנת 2013 קיבלה החברה רישיון לפעול בתחום ההימורים המקוונים בארצות הברית, ובפרט השיגה אישור לפעול במדינת נבדה, שם חתמה על הסכם שיתוף פעולה עם מפעיל הקזינו "Treasure Island".[8]

בשנת 2021 הורחב שיתוף פעולה עם חברת LSports לאספקת מידע מעודכן בנושא ספורט[9].
