פחמן משודרג (באנגלית: Altered Carbon, ובתרגום חופשי "פחמן שעבר שינוי") היא סדרת טלוויזיה אמריקאית עטורת שבחים מסוגת הדיסטופיה, מדע בדיוני וסייברפאנק, שיצר לאטה קאלוגרידיס (אנ') על בסיס הרומן פחמן משודרג[1] מ־2002 מאת הסופר האנגלי ריצ'רד ק. מורגן (אנ').[2][3] העונה הראשונה כללה 10 פרקים ועלתה בבכורה בנטפליקס ב־2 בפברואר 2018. הסדרה חודשה לעונה שנייה, שכללה שמונה פרקים ועלתה ב־27 בפברואר 2020.

תקציר עלילת הסדרה

הסדרה מתרחשת בעתיד,[4][5] בשנת 2384.[6] בעתיד, הטכנולוגיה אפשרה לצקת את כל המטען הנפשי של בני האדם בתוך דיסק שנקרא התקן אחסון ומושתל בחוליות בחלק האחורי של הצוואר כבר בינקות. התקני אחסון אלה הם עיצוב חייזרי והונדסו בייצור המוני. כעת הגוף ניתן לשכפול לגופים סינתטיים הנקראים "שרוולים" ומשמשים ככלי קיבול בלבד. טקאשי קובאץ' (ג'ואל קינאמן), פעיל פוליטי בעל מיומנויות של שכיר חרב, מתעורר 250 שנה אחרי שהשרוול הקודם שלו ניזוק. ניתנת לו הבחירה לבלות את שארית הזמן בכלא על פשעיו, או לעזור לפתור את הרצח של לורן בנקרופט (ג'יימס פיורפוי), אחד האנשים העשירים בעולם.[7] טקאשי הוא החייל היחיד ששרד התקוממות שנכשלה, כנגד הסדר העולמי החדש, 250 שנה קודם לכן.[8]

  • ב-19 במרץ 2020, לאחר העונה השנייה, יצא בנטפליקס סרט אנימה שנקרא פחמן משודרג: שרוול חדש (באנגלית: Altered Carbon: Resleeved).[15] עלילתו מתרחשת מאות שנים לפני אירועי העונה הראשונה.

הפקה

נטפליקס הזמינה את הסדרה בינואר 2016, חמש עשרה שנה לאחר שהמפיקה לאטה קאלוגרידיס רכשה את הזכויות מתוך כוונה להפיק סרט.[16] לדברי קאלוגרידיס, האופי המורכב של הרומן וייעודו לקהל המבוגרים הקשו עליה למכור אותו לאולפנים, עד שנטפליקס הזמינה את הסדרה. סטיב בלקמן שימש כמפיק שותף מיגל סאפוצ'ניק שימש כבמאי פרק הבכורה. הסדרה הופקה בוונקובר, קולומביה הבריטית, קנדה.
