פוקר פייס (באנגלית: Poker Face) היא סדרת דרמה פרוצדורלית אמריקאית שנוצרה על ידי ריאן ג'ונסון עבור שירות הזרמת המדיה "Peacock". בסדרה מככבת נטשה ליון בדמותה של צ'ארלי קאל, עובדת קזינו בעלת חוש מולד לזיהוי שקרים, המסתבכת במקרי מוות מסתוריים של זרים בעודה במנוסה.[1][2]

הסדרה עלתה לשידור ב-26 בינואר 2023.[3] עם עלייתה, זכתה הסדרה לשבחי המבקרים. בפברואר 2023 הוכרז שתהיה עונה שנייה.

רקע עלילתי

מבנה הסדרה הוא כשל סדרת תעלומת רצח ודרמה פרוצדורלית הכתובה בסגנון "התעלומה השבועית",[4] כאשר כל פרק בנוי בפורמט "Howcatchem (אנ')" שזכה לפופולריות לאחר שידוריה של "קולומבו".[5]

עלילת הסדרה עוסקת בדמותה של צ'ארלי קאל, עובדת קזינו בעלת יכולת מולדת לזהות שקרים, הנמלטת ברחבי ארצות הברית ממעסיקה בעקבות הסתבכותה במקרה מוות חשוד. במנוסתה, נתקלת צ'ארלי בדמויות צבעוניות ונאלצת לפתור מקרי רצח מגוונים.

פיתוח

במרץ 2021, נמסר לראשונה על פיתוחה של הסדרה, כשבמקביל אושר כי את הסדרה יכתוב, יביים ויפיק הקולנוען ריאן ג'ונסון. ג'ונסון הצהיר שהסדרה תתעמק ב"סוג הטוב המהנה, [...] של התעלומה השבועית שגדלתי עליו".[1] את השראתה שאבה הסדרה מ"קולומבו" ומהפורמט "Howcatchem (אנ')" שעמד במרכזו. בנוסף, שאב ג'ונסון השראה מסדרות נוספות ששודרו בשנות ה-70 ושנות ה-80, בהן "מגנום, בלש פרטי", "תיקי רוקפורד", "זינוק לאתמול", "הדרך לגן העדן" ו"הענק הירוק".[17][18] במהלך כתיבת העלילה, ג'ונסון היה מעוניין לצלול אנתרופולוגית לפינות קטנות באמריקה שטרם הוצגו על המסך.[19]

ליהוק

לצד ההכרזה על פיתוח הסדרה, נמסר על ליהוקה של נטשה ליון לתפקיד הראשי.[1] ג'ונסון פנה אליה בנוגע לעבודה על פרויקט פרוצדורלי יחד.[19] על ליהוקה של ליון לתפקיד, הסביר ג'ונסון כי התפקיד "הותאם לחלוטין עבורה."[18] בעוד שהסדרה והדמות הראשית חלקו דברים משותפים עם "קולומבו", הכותבים ביקשו לבדל את הדמות הראשית על ידי הפיכתה לנוכלת, במקום לשוטרת.[19]

בשל אופייה הפרוצדורלי של הסדרה, בכל פרק מופיעים מספר שחקנים אורחים. על מנת למשוך שחקנים רבים, כתב ג'ונסון את מבנה הפרקים כך שכל כוכב אורח יעמוד במרכזו העלילתי של פרק, בדומה להיותם של השחקנים האורחים במוקד העלילתי של פרקי "קולומבו" בו הופיעו.[18]

באפריל 2022, נמסר על ליהוקו של בנג'מין בראט לתפקיד משני.[6][20][21]

צילומים

לדברי מנהל ועדת הסרטים של עמק הדסון, צילומי הסדרה התקיימו בניובורג, ניו יורק, ונמשכו מאפריל עד לאוקטובר 2022, במיקומים שונים ברחבי עמק הדסון.[22] צילומיו של לפחות פרק אחד של הסדרה התקיימו בשלהי אוגוסט 2022 באלבקרקי, ניו מקסיקו.[23] בספטמבר 2022, צולמו סצנות החוץ צולמו בנבדה ובמלון "Riverside Resort & Casino", בו צולמו סצנות קזינו פרוסט הבדיוני.[24]

הפצה

ארבעת פרקיה הראשונים של הסדרה עלו לראשונה ב-26 בינואר 2023, ולאחריהם מופצים שאר הפרקים על בסיס שבועי.[3]

על הטיפול בשידוריה הבינלאומיים של הסדרה הופקדה חטיבת ההפצה של פרמאונט גלובל.[25] בקנדה, הסדרה זמינה באמצעות שירות "Citytv+";[26] ובישראל, באמצעות שירות "yes VOD".[27]

ביקורות

הסדרה זכתה לשבחי המבקרים. באתר הביקורות "Rotten Tomatoes" זכתה הסדרה לציון 98%, עם דירוג ממוצע של 8.6/10, על סמך 62 ביקורות.[28] באתר הביקורות המשוקללות "Metacritic", זכתה הסדרה לציון 85/100 על סמך 34 ביקורות, דבר המצביע על "שבחים אוניברסליים".[29]
