ב-1987 יצא את סרטו הראשון, "Lupo the Butcher", לדבריו של אנטונוצ'י הוא יצר את הסרט בעקבות תסכול ביצירת סרטים לילדים בלבד. הסרט הקצר הצליח והוקרן בפסטיבלי קולנוע רבים, הדבר גרם לפרסומו העיקרי של אנטונוצ'י. ההצלחה של "Lupo the Butcher" הביאה לאנטונוצ'י עבודות קבועות ב"לוי שטראוס ושות'" ו-"MTV".

לקראת סיום "אד, אדד ואדי" חתם אנטונוצ'י ב-WildBrain ליצירת סדרת טלוויזיה; אנטונוצ'י אמר כי "יש לי כבר שלושה רעיונות לפרויקט עבור WildBrain"[9]. ב-11 ביוני 2013 פורסם ראיון שבו אמר אנטונוצ'י כי החלה העבודה על סדרת הטלוויזיה[10].
