Ouro nórdico

Moedas divisionarias do euro cuñadas en ouro nórdico.

Coñécese como ouro nórdico a aliaxe de cor dourada coa que se cuñan as moedas divisionarias do euro con valores faciais de 50 céntimos, 20 céntimos e 10 céntimos.[1][2] A súa composición é dun 89 % de cobre, 5 % de aluminio, 5 % de cinc e 1 % de estaño.[3][4][5]

Esta mesma aliaxe xa estivera en uso con anterioridade en Suecia, nas súas moedas de 5 coroas e de 10 coroas; de aí a orixe da denominación "ouro nórdico" (do sueco: nordiskt guld). Posteriormente, tamén se utilziou para as moedas polacas conmemorativas de 2 zloty.[6]

Malia o seu nome, non contén nada de ouro e a súa cor, aínda que semellante, é claramente diferenciable. É unha aliaxe resistente á corrosión, non alerxénica e con propiedades antifúnxicas.[7][8]
