Enrique Veira Catrufo, nado na Coruña cara a 1901 e finado na mesma cidade o 6 de maio de 1984, foi un político galego.

Traxectoria

Emigrou a Cuba con 17 anos. Chofer, foi un dos organizadores do Sindicato de Transportes da Habana e foi detido. Participou na fundación do Partido Comunista Cubano. Foi deportado a España en 1936. Formou parte do primeiro Comité Regional de Galicia do PCE na clandestinidade dirixido por Alberto Puente García a finais de 1938. Detido xunto cos outros membros do comité, pasou seis meses en prisión. Reorganizado o Comité Regional a finais de 1940, pasou a ser o secretario xeral. Foi detido o 18 de agosto de 1942. Xulgado en consello de guerra no verán de 1943 con Alberto Puente, José Camín Río, Mariano Granda Fernández e Marcelino Eirín Mayo, foron condenados a morte. Conmutáronlle a pena e estivo 20 anos no penal de Burgos.[1]

Cando saíu pasou a Francia e despois a Hungría. Foi un dos promotores da Asociación de Ex-Presos Políticos e Persoas Afectadas por Actividades Político-Sociais constituída na Coruña en marzo de 1977.[2] Finou na Coruña o 6 de maio de 1984.[3]
