Rukmini est une déesse hindoue.

Selon le Mahabharata épique et d’autres écritures puraniques, la princesse Rukmini est née de Bhishmaka—le roi du royaume de Vidarbha, appartenant à la dynastie Bhoja^[1].

Elle a cinq frères aînés : Rukmi, Rukmaratha, Rukmabahu, Rukmakesa et Rukmanetra^[2].

Elle se marie à Krishna^[2].

Les Puranas, notamment le Vishnu Purana, le Bhagavata Purana et le Padma Purana la louent comme une incarnation de la déesse Lakshmi, l’épouse du dieu Vishnou^[2].
