Abarema est un genre de plantes à fleurs de la famille des Fabaceae. Il comprend une cinquantaine d'espèces.

Taxinomie

Le genre a été créé par Pittier en 1927[p 1]. Il a été redéfini par Soares et collaborateurs en 2021 pour des raison de polyphylie, en recréant deux genres: Jupunba et Punjuba[p 2].
