Nicolas Formé

Nicolas Formé (26. huhtikuuta 1567 Pariisi – 27. toukokuuta 1638 Pariisi) oli ranskalainen säveltäjä ja laulaja, joka oli äänialaltaan kontratenori. Hän sai myös pappisvihkimyksen.[1]

Formé sai varhaisimman musiikkikasvatuksensa todennäköisesti kuorokoulussa.[2] Vuoteen 1592 mennessä hän pääsi laulajaksi kuninkaalliseen kapelliin. Formé työskenteli siellä vuodesta 1609 kuolemaansa saakka sous-maîtren eli avustavan johtajan asemassa ja säveltäjänä. Hänen teostensa joukossa ovat Aeterane Henrici magni... missam hanc duobus choris (neljälle tai viidelle äänelle, 1638) ja 8 Magnificatia kahdeksassa kirkkosävellajissa.[1]
