John Granlund

John Granlund (10. joulukuuta 1888 Parainen – 1962) oli suomalainen urkuri, kuoronjohtaja, musiikinopettaja ja säveltäjä.[1][2]

John Granlund sai päästötodistuksen kirkkomusiikkiopistosta 1909. Hän opiskeli sen jälkeen Helsingin musiikkiopistossa vuoteen 1916 saakka ja Leipzigissa Saksassa. Granlund toimi vt. urkurina Hangossa 1920–1921 ja sitten S. B. V:n sekakuoron johtajana Turussa. Hän oli Åbo Sångarbröder Musices Amantes-mieskuoron johtajana vuodesta 1927 ja Åbo Akademin musiikin teorian ja kirkkolaulun opettajana vuodesta 1925. [1]

Granlundin sävellyksiin kuului sonaatti, Passacaglia, kantaatti sekä kuoro- ja yksinlauluja.[1]
