Houdek vuonna 2008

Jacques Houdek (s. 14. huhtikuuta 1981 Zagreb, Kroatian ST) on kroatialainen laulaja. Hän edusti Kroatiaa vuoden 2017 Euroviisuissa[2][3] kappaleella "My Friend".

Biografia

Jacques Houdek (syntymänimeltään Željko Houdek) syntyi 14. huhtikuuta Zagrebissa, Kroatiassa. Hänen vanhempansa ovat kotoisin Slavoniasta. Lopetettuaan musiikkikoulun Houdek kävi Berklee College of Music -koulua Bostonissa. Vuonna 2004 hän voitti Porin-palkinnon parhaana uutena artistina. Hän saavutti myös ensimmäisen sijan festivaali MC:ssä vuonna 2004, ja voitti maineikkaan BH Radio -festivaalin parhaana kroatialaisena esiintyjänä vuonna 2005. Vuonna 2006 Houdek meni naimisiin Brigita Krkačin kanssa. Parilla on kaksi lasta: tytär Sofija ja poika David.

Houdek voitti toisen Porin-palkinnon vuonna 2008 parhaana miesesiintyjänä. Hänen albuminsa "Idemo u zoo" voitti myös Porin-palkinnon parhaana albumina lapsille vuonna 2009, ja hän itse voitti Porin-palkinnon parhaana miesesiintyjänä vuonna 2012.

17. helmikuuta 2017 ilmoitettiin, että Jacques Houdek tulisi edustamaan Kroatiaa vuoden 2017 Eurovision laulukilpailussa Kiovassa, Ukrainassa.
