Hjalmar von Bonsdorff

Hjalmar Gabriel von Bonsdorff (12. heinäkuuta 1858 Helsinki – 5. maaliskuuta 1932 Helsinki) oli suomalainen lääkäri ja professori.[1][2]

Von Bonsdorffin vanhemmat olivat tilanomistaja, vapaaherra Hjalmar Erik Gabriel von Bonsdorff (1826–1905) ja Ulrika Karolina Wasenius. Hän pääsi ylioppilaaksi Helsingin ruotsalaisesta normaalilyseosta 1876 ja valmistui Helsingin yliopistosta filosofian kandidaatiksi 1879, filosofian maisteriksi ja lääketieteen kandidaatiksi 1882 sekä lääketieteen lisensiaatiksi 1886. Von Bonsdorff väitteli Helsingin yliopistossa lääketieteen tohtoriksi 1889, sai dosentuurin 1891 ja toimi kirurgian ylimääräisenä professorina Helsingin yliopistossa 1902–1918. Vuonna 1919 hänestä tuli lääkintäkenraalimajuri. Hänen merkittävin työuransa oli Helsingin Diakonissalaitoksen kirurgisen (1897–1918) ja lastenosaston (1906–1914) ylilääkärin tehtävät. Hän oli myös 1919–1926 Suomen armeijan ylilääkäri ja 1928–1932 suojeluskuntien ylilääkäri. Hän oli kiinnostunut myös esimerkiksi tapaturmavakuutus- ja sairaanhoitajaopetuskysymyksistä.[1][3]

Von Bonsdorff osallistui aatelissäädyssä valtiopäville 1904–1905 ja 1905–1906. Hän oli myös Helsingin kaupunginvaltuuston jäsen 1903–1905.[2]

Hän oli naimisissa vuodesta 1886 Julia Maria Sofia Hirnin kanssa ja oli Adolf von Bonsdorffin velipuoli.[1][3]
