Edvard Rudolf Neovius

Edvard Rudolf Neovius, Akseli Gallen-Kallelan maalaus vuodelta 1898.

Edvard Rudolf Neovius (14. marraskuuta 1851 Hamina – 27. syyskuuta 1917 Kööpenhamina) oli suomalainen matemaatikko, Helsingin yliopiston matematiikan professori 1883–1900. Hän oli senaattori ja valtiovarain toimituskunnan päällikkö 1900–1905. Hänen tieteelliset tutkimuksensa käsittelivät differentiaaligeometriaa.[1][2] Hänen väitöskirjansa aihe oli Kurvor af tredje och fjerde garden betraktade s\aa som alster af tvänne projektiva involutioner[3].
