Beppu (jap. 別府市, Beppu-shi) on kylpyläkaupunki Ōitan prefektuurissa Kyūshūn saaren koillisrannikolla Japanissa. Se sijaitsee prefektuurin keskiosassa Beppunlahden rannalla. Beppussa on 121 298[3] asukasta (2014), joten se on prefektuurin toiseksi suurin kaupunki pääkaupunki Ōitan jälkeen, ja sen pinta-ala on 125,23[2] neliökilometriä. Beppu tunnetaan lukuisista kuumista lähteistään (onsen), joiden ansiosta siellä vierailee paljon matkailijoita.

Beppusta tehtiin kaupunki 1. huhtikuuta 1924. Silloin siellä oli noin 36 000 asukasta.[4]

Kaupunki jakautuu kahdeksaan kuumien lähteiden alueeseen (jap. 別府八湯, Beppu hattō). Kuumien lähteiden määrä, 2 217 kappaletta[4], ja niistä virtaavan veden määrä on Japanin suurin. Lähteiden vettä on käytetty muinaisista ajoista lähtien lukuisiin eri tarkoituksiin matkailusta terveydenhuoltoon ja teollisuuteen. Kaupungille luonteenomaiseen maisemaan kuuluu lukuisista kuumista lähteistä nouseva höyry.[5]
