Aleksandr Borodai

Aleksandr Jurjevitš Borodai (ven. Алекса́ндр Ю́рьевич Борода́й; s. 25. heinäkuuta 1972 Moskova) on venäläinen poliitikko, poliittinen neuvonantaja ja järjestöjohtaja.[1]

Borodai valmistui Moskovan valtionyliopiston filosofian tiedekunnasta vuonna 1994. Hän osallistui Transnistrian sotaan vuonna 1992 ja Venäjän perustuslaillisen kriisin 1993 yhteydessä toteutettuihin väkivaltaisuuksiin lainsäädäntöelimen vallan ja presidenttivetoisuuden kannattajien välillä. Borodai käsitteli sotakirjeenvaihtajana ensimmäistä Tšetšenian sotaa RIA Novostissa vuodesta 1994 ja kirjoitti sotilasasioiden tarkkailijana Zavtraan vuodesta 1996. Hän työskenteli 1990-luvun lopusta lähtien neuvonantajana monissa vaalikampanjoissa. Hän teki yhteistyötä ukrainalaisen Alueiden puolueen kanssa ja toimi Konstantin Malofejevin neuvonantajana. Borodai on kiistänyt väitteet, joiden mukaan hänet olisi vuonna 2002 nimitetty FSB:n informaatiopolitiikan ja erikoishankkeiden varajohtajaksi.[1]

Borodai osallistui Krimin miehitykseen vuonna 2014 ja ryhtyi perustetun miehityshallinnon neuvonantajaksi. 16. toukokuuta 2014 hänet nimitettiin Donetskin kansantasavallan pääministeriksi, jonka tehtävistä hän erosi elokuussa 2014. Hän oli Donetskin alueen miehitetyn osan ensimmäinen johtaja. Borodai joutui Yhdysvaltain pakotteiden kohdehenkilöksi heinäkuussa 2014. Palattuaan Moskovaan hän ryhtyi vuonna 2015 johtamaan Donbassin vapaaehtoisten liittoa, joka yhdisti itäisessä Ukrainassa Venäjän puolella taistelleita. Ukrainan yleinen syyttäjänvirasto on syyttänyt Borodaita väkivaltaisesta vallankaappauksesta, maan alueellisen koskemattomuuden loukkaamisesta ja terroristijärjestön perustamisesta.[1]

Borodai valittiin valtioduumaan Yhtenäisen Venäjän edustajana vuonna 2021.[2]
