فرایند سوختن کربن

فرایند سوختن کربن(به انگلیسی: Carbon-burning process) مجموعه‌ای از واکنش‌های همجوشی هسته‌ای است که در ستاره‌های عظیم و با جرم بالا (حداقل ۸ برابر جرم خورشید) اتفاق می‌افتد. این فرایند نیازمند دمای بسیار زیاد (> ۵×۱۰۸ K یا ۵۰ keV) و چگالی (> ۳×۱۰9 kg/m3) است.[۱]
