Mirkka Lappalainen (2013)

Mirkka Marjaana Lappalainen (sündinud 26. novembril 1975 Helsingis) on soome ajaloolane, Tieto-Finlandia auhinna laureaat.

Ta on 2014. aastast Helsingi Ülikooli lektor.[1] Ajaloolasena uurib ta Soome Rootsi aja ajalugu, aadelkonna ja aadlisuguvõsade ajalugu, isikuajalugu, õigusajalugu, kuritegude ajalugu, väikest jääaega ning näljahädasid.[2]

Ta sai Helsingi Ülikoolist 1998. aastal magistrikraadi ja 2001. aastal litsentsiaadikraadi. 2005. aastal[3] kaitses ta doktoriväitekirja "Suku, valta, suurvalta", mis käsitles Creutzi aadlisuguvõsa ajalugu Rootsi suurvõimu ajastul.

Ta töötab 2001. aastast Helsingi Ülikoolis: aastatel 2001–2009 Soome ja Põhjamaade ajaloo assistendi, 2009–2014 teaduri ja 2014. aastast Soome ja Põhjamaade ajaloo ülikoolilektorina.

2014. aastal Tieto-Finlandia auhinna saanud kirjastuses Siltala ilmunud "Pohjolan leijona" tõlgiti 2016. aastal eesti keelde ("Põhjala lõvi. Gustav II Adolf 1611–1632", tõlkija Ants Paikre).
