Ants Sillar

Ants Sillar (1936. aastani Augustin Fross, ka August Froš; 20. jaanuar 1917 Taevere vald, Viljandimaa21. veebruar 1974 Türi) oli eesti koolijuht.

Ta sai alghariduse Kabala algkoolis. 1930. aastast õppis Viljandi Maakonna Poeglaste Gümnaasiumis, mille lõpetas 1935. aastal. Gümnaasiumi lõpetamise järel oli kaitseväeteenistuses, seejärel õppis Tallinna Sõjakoolis ja lõpetas suurtükiväe ohvitseride klassi 1940. aastal.[1] Auastmelt nooremleitnant.[2]

Ühtedel andmetel oli ta Nõukogude võimu kehtestamise järel Eesti kaitseväest ümberformeeritud Punaarmee 150. üksiku õhukaitse divisjoni sideülem, evakueerus Teise maailmasõja puhkedes Nõukogude tagalasse, töötas algul metsatööstuskeskuse raamatupidajana, hiljem oli Punaarmees, sõja lõpu ajal oli 483. Suvorovi ordeniga autasustatud kahuripolgu kirjutaja, sest ei saanud jalavigastuse tõttu enam olla riviteenistuses ning demobiliseeriti 1945 detsembris.[1]

Teistel andmetel ta arreteeriti Punaarmees 10. aprillil 1941 nõukogudevastase agitatsiooni ja nõukogudevastases grupis osalemise eest ning Balti sõjaväeringkonna tribunal mõistis ta surma, ent otsust ei viidud täide ning kandis vangistust Molotovi oblastis Ussollagis, vabanemise aeg teadmata. Vangistuses külmetas jalad, mille tõttu lonkas elu lõpuni.[3][2][4]

Vabanemise järel sai temast EKP Kabala vallakomitee propagandist, 1946 jaanuarist Kabala 7-klassilise kooli sõjalise ala juhataja ja õpetaja. Aastatel 1950–1951 oli ta Kabala Mittetäieliku Keskkooli direktor, aastatel 1951–1957 Türi 1. Keskkooli direktor.[1]

Aastatel 1953–1957 õppis E. Vilde nimelise Tallinna Pedagoogilise Instituudi geograafia ja loodusteaduskonnas ning lõpetas selle geograafiaõpetaja kvalifikatsiooniga.[1]

Aastatel 1957–1974 oli ta Rakvere Internaatkooli direktor.[5]

1956. aastast oli ta Türi linna rahvasaadikute nõukogu saadik, hiljem EKP Rakvere Rajoonikomitee ja büroo liige ning rajoonikomitee ideoloogiakomisjoni esimees, samuti ühingu "Teadus" Rakvere rajooniorganisatsiooni juhatuse esimees.

Aastatel 1967–1971 oli ta Eesti NSV Ülemnõukogu VII koosseisu liige.

Ta oli ka Eesti NSV Haridusministeeriumi internaatkoolide ja lastekodude komisjoni esimees. Ta oli valitud Eesti NSV õpetajate I Ja II kongressi delegaadiks.[1]

Ta on maetud Türi Saunametsa kalmistule.[6]
