Grupos de acción

En Latinoamérica, pero especialmente en la república de Cuba, se denominaba grupo de acción a aquellos activistas políticos violentos que se juntaban para realizar actividades guerrilleras urbanas, como por ejemplo los grupos liderados por Emilio Tró, Lauro Blanco, Rolando Masferrer y Manolo Castro (no relacionado con Fidel Castro), entre otros, cuando eran estudiantes universitarios. El propio Fidel Castro integró el grupo de Emilio Tró Unión Insurreccional Revolucionaria como soldado de filas.[1]

Estos grupos se formaron tras la efervescencia revolucionaria que surgió después de la caída del dictador cubano Gerardo Machado, pero más tarde degeneraron en bandas gansteriles que se disputaban la calle a balazos. Se cuantifica en unas doscientas las muertes causadas por las disputas y grescas entre estos grupos armados durante el gobierno de Grau San Martín.

Formación

Como ejemplo, imaginemos que en una cultura hipotética, cuatro doncellas se seleccionan tradicionalmente para realizar cierta función en una ceremonia de matrimonio y que el criterio de elegilibilidad es ser una mujer joven pariente de la novia. Varias personas pueden ser elegibles. No tienen el derecho automático de formar parte pero formarían parte del cuarteto si fueran escogidas. Es más, la mayoría de las personas elegibles no lo serán. Dadas las características necesarias para ser escogida dama de compañía, la selección es casi aleatoria, y formarán parte del grupo de acción.

Como miembros de este grupo de acción son reunidas para realizar esta única tarea y después el grupo será disuelto, luego no puede ser considerado un grupo social, pues para considerarse como tal, deberían interactuar de acuerdo a sus identidades sociales.
