William Cranch Bond (naskiĝis la 9-an de septembro 1789 en Portland (Majno), mortis la 29-an de januaro 1859 en Kembriĝo (Masaĉuseco)) estis usona astronomo Li estis la unua direktoro de la observatorio de la Universitato Harvard.

Vivo

Li estis horloĝisto, repreninte la metion de sia patro. En 1806 li spektis suneklipson kaj iĝis amatora astronomo; kiam li konstruigis sian unuan domon, li faris de tiu observatorion por observi la ĉielon per teleskopo de sia salono.

Astronomio
