La ŝtata blazono de Ĉado estis adoptita en 1970, dek jarojn post kiam la ŝtato ekestis post la epoko de franca koloniado kadre de Ekvatora Franca Afriko. La centro havas ŝildon kun dentitaj bluaj kaj flavaj linioj , kun suno leviĝanta super ĝi. La ŝildo estas subtenata de kapro kaj leono. Sub la ŝildo estas medalo kaj rubando kun la nacia moto en la franca, Unité, Travail, Progrès, do "Unueco, Laboro, Progreso". La ŝildaj subtenantoj same kiel la rubando prezentas ruĝan sagon indikantan supren.

Superrigardo

La ondolinioj sur la ŝildo simbolas la Ĉadan lagon; la kresto, leviĝanta suno, novan komencon por la lando. La subtenanto maldekstre estas kapro, reprezentante la nordan duonon de la ŝtato; la suda duono estas reprezentata per la leono subtenanta la ŝildon dekstre. La insigno de la nacia ordeno de Ĉado pendas de la ŝildo.

Aparta ŝtata emblemo de Ĉado estas nigrablanka sigelo konsistanta el la vortoj "Respubliko de Ĉado - Unueco, Laboro, Progreso" ĉirkaŭante bildigon de la kapo kaj supra korpoparto de triba knabino kun ŝia hararo en maizovicoj.
