I'd say no for all four, there is barely any reliable source saying much about War and Fugitive(even The Doctor only mentions them in other and not the main list), and if they are not included, there would be no point for the other two either, even if they might have reliable sources. DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 05:32, 8 September 2024 (UTC)reply
The sources exist, it would just take improving the articles. I suppose Martin as Fugitive is more debatable as she was only ever credited as a guest star, but Hurt was credited in the opening sequence of DotD along with Smith and Tennant, meaning he did technically headline the series. If we're including the Eighth Doctor based on that bar, then War should be included as well. I feel less strongly about Dr. Who since he wasn't in the main television series. The Valeyard is up for debate. TheDoctorWho(talk)06:21, 8 September 2024 (UTC)reply
It's not just about appearances though. Most of the coverage for War and Fugitive is that they appeared in a few episodes; War has some audio stories, but Fugitive does not even have that at the moment, and audio stories barely get any coverage as compared to the TV stories, with Eight only getting extensive coverage because he has appeared in so many. Same for the Valeyard as War and Fugitive. We should definitely not include Dr. Who though, even the Shalka Doctor is more related to the story than him. DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 06:38, 8 September 2024 (UTC)reply
I have updated the Tom Baker and Colin Baker articles and nominated them to GAN. I also removed Tom Baker's filmography from his article and created List of Tom Baker performances and credits. I am considering doing the same with Colin Baker's filmography, as it is lengthy and not well-cited atm. I would appreciate if someone could review what I have written about Tom Baker and Colin Baker's post-Doctor Who career, as it has been challenging to find good quality citations.SkywalkerEccleston (talk) 01:57, 26 January 2026 (UTC)reply
Thanks @Olliefant. Sure, I would love to get them to FLC, however I would need help. A lot of Tom and Colin's late-career work is not exactly high profile and thus it's difficult to find good-quality citations. I am open to any advice you have regarding this. SkywalkerEccleston (talk) 07:08, 26 January 2026 (UTC)reply
No strong opinion on this either way, BUT if we're adding those, I feel like we'd also need to consider adding in "The End of Time" and "Deep Breath". I don't feel like the current proposed topic has gaps without them, but if we start including expanded media content, it feels weird to exclude things that are in the source material (even more so with the inclusion of DotD). TheDoctorWho(talk)04:44, 27 November 2024 (UTC)reply
I considered those too, but I don't think they're necessary as they're essentially cameos (whereas the expanded media and Death of the Doctor are generally much more focused on the Eleventh Doctor). – Rhain☔ (he/him)05:03, 27 November 2024 (UTC)reply
That's a fair point. Like I said, no strong opinion on any of them. I definitely wouldn't oppose if the expanded media were included and the cameos weren't. I just thought discussion on it may come up at one point or another and it made more sense to decide sooner rather than later. TheDoctorWho(talk)05:48, 27 November 2024 (UTC)reply
A lot of those articles could do with re-evaluation or expansion before being included, but excluding that, I mainly based this on the Twelfth Doctor one below, which only includes major televised content (Including the Class episode). This can definitely be changed but I feel throwing everything the character appeared in wouldn't really be worthwhile and is not necessary to get an expansive topic on a character. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 03:03, 28 November 2024 (UTC)reply
I figured that's what it was based on, but technically we don't have a precedent for a topic like this so it's still worth discussing. For the sake of completeness, it seems logical to include extended media, since there's nothing about the topic that seems to specifically limit it to television appearances (in which case, some novels may also be within scope). – Rhain☔ (he/him)03:20, 28 November 2024 (UTC)reply
@Rhain in that case we should probably determine exactly what falls into the scope of the Topic or not, and we'd need to determine what is and isn't notable. Random Novels probably are going to be AfD'd at some point anyway, and minor cameos probably don't need to be incorporated, but something like The Adventure Games I concur could probably do with being added. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 03:35, 28 November 2024 (UTC)reply
I agree the novel articles are likely eligible for redirection/deletion anyway, but until then they're worth mentioning. I also agree that small cameos are unnecessary, but significant appearances (like the video games) are likely worth including unless we determine the scope is limited to television (which may also be valid). – Rhain☔ (he/him)03:42, 28 November 2024 (UTC)reply
That's certainly fair, though there's an argument to be made that the topic itself is already quite broad (especially per criteria 1(c)). I suppose the scope could be limited specifically to "Eleventh Doctor on television"—not that the topic itself should be named that, but perhaps something to keep in mind when nominating. – Rhain☔ (he/him)06:47, 28 November 2024 (UTC)reply
Bit of an oddball this one but not entirely unfeasible. I believe it would just need Tennant and Donna's articles to be improved? Very small but pretty concise in terms of content. If anything else is missing feel free to add it. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 06:38, 30 June 2026 (UTC)reply
@OlifanofmrTennant I'm honestly considering axing the individual Time Lords as a whole since they're individual characters as opposed to species or particular monsters, but I'm admittedly not too sure. There's also the issue of there being so many incarnations of the Doctor that they're practically a separate topic at this point. I'd appreciate some input if I'm being honest. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 02:29, 15 July 2025 (UTC)reply
I don’t think an individual character should be included here since it’s about Doctor Who species, so time lord but not The Rani. Daleks but not Davros. A timelord topic would include The Rani and The Master and ect Olliefant (she/her)07:29, 15 July 2025 (UTC)reply
Sounds good. I'll axe out the individual Time Lords, Davros, and the Mara since they're all particular individuals, but the others will remain. I'll start another subtopic for the Time Lords in a second. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 01:30, 16 July 2025 (UTC)reply
I'm not including the separate incarnations of the Doctor on here since that'll be its own subtopic, however I will not submit this until all the Doctor incarnations are done and dusted. For now I'm just including the Valeyard separately given his unique separation from other Doctor incarnations, but I'll likely adjust that later down the line. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 01:34, 16 July 2025 (UTC)reply
@Olliefant very likely. However, I would also argue Robert Banks Stewart should be included given he is their creator. While other people who worked with the species have only done so tangentially, I feel their creator is a pretty notable exclusion if we're covering everything Zygon related here.
For the rest of the articles I'd be happy to collaborate on finishing them; perhaps each of us cover one part each of Invasion/Inversion, and we collaborate to complete The Day of the Doctor (Given it's an incredibly massive article in terms of scope)? Day of the Doctor's completion would also be very helpful for the 2013 specials sub-topic. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 18:20, 17 February 2026 (UTC)reply
I'd be unopposed. Just a question though: A lot of developmental information is shared between the two parts. Does the bulk of that info go to the first part, get split between both, or something else? I have admittedly not worked with these kinds of multi-part stories before. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 18:57, 17 February 2026 (UTC)reply
FWIW, these episodes were definitely made together—they shared a production block and director, and filming took place over the course of a month without any breaks, besides some weekends (in fact, the first day of production included scenes from the second episode, while the last day had scenes from the first). That being said, these should be fine as two separate articles; the first may inevitably have more 'development' info, but the second can mostly recap where relevant. We havemanydifferentGA+examplesoftwo-partstories (andsomehalves) if you need any inspiration. – Rhain☔ (he/him)05:00, 19 February 2026 (UTC)reply
Robert Banks Stewart is now GA, which brings us one article closer to our goal.
@SkywalkerEccleston I notice you've been doing some major edits to The Day of the Doctor recently; do you plan to take that one to GA? Me and Ollie already are taking on the other two Zygon episodes, so the improvement of that last article would be very helpful (Though I understand it's a very large article, and I'd definitely be willing to take on sections of it if need be) Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 04:36, 1 April 2026 (UTC)reply
@OlliefantThe Zygon Invasion is now up for GAN. I mostly focused on the overall story conception here, since a lot of the major analysis of this story is focused on Inversion, particularly in the form of the Doctor's speech. I did find this while source searching that may be helpful, [1], and I'd check out Books/Scholar for anlaysis of this two-parter to see what you can incorporate into Inversion. Let me know if you have any queries regarding this or how content should be split between the two articles. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 21:40, 5 April 2026 (UTC)reply
Another monster GT that's very close to completion. All that really needs to be hit up are Village and The Lost. Admittedly unsure if Halloween Apocalypse, Once, Upon Time, and Survivors of the Flux should be included though, since while they do include Angels they are not the main episode focus. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 01:31, 20 February 2026 (UTC)reply
I've added them; seems like once the individual Flux episodes are completed this will be too, pretty much, given they're in all but War of the Sontarans and The Vanquishers. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 06:42, 20 February 2026 (UTC)reply
Another close one, really only missing Time of the Doctor. I believe that's all the Silent stories anyway, unless there are obvious ones I'm missing. Could be a potential one to hit up at some point (Also for the 2013 specials GT, since Day will be worked on for the Zygon one). Not a pressing topic but definitely one to keep in mind for future reference. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 01:31, 20 February 2026 (UTC)reply
Cyberman GT I am setting up right now. This is very much long term but since there has been some interest expressed in this in the past I figured I'd set it up for later use.
@Olliefant Cyberman is on my to-do list, though admittedly my focus has been on some other articles lately. I've got a draft started at User:Pokelego999/sandbox/Cyberman Rewrite, though I haven't done a lot of extensive work on it yet, so it's missing a good chunk (And a lot of the writing is admittedly very old). I do have all the sources I've gathered listed there though. I plan to hit this one up at some point once I get some more articles out of the way, especially since it's currently the last major species article not at GA or above or nominated for that as of right now. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 00:48, 15 March 2026 (UTC)reply
Only four Classic stories are not GA, GAN, or ready for nomination (Revenge of the Cybermen, Earthshock, Five Doctors, Silver Nemesis). Honestly impressive progress that's been made so far. Excellent work so far and congratulations to everyone who has improved articles! Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 22:44, 31 July 2026 (UTC)reply
@Glimmer721 I'd check how much of the information there can even be cited. I think it's likely good as it is, but it needs citations to be verifiable.
I did a plot rewrite for The Moonbase to help out with that, and it now manages to squeeze under the 400 word episode limit. I'd do some more prose rewrites in spots, as there's still a lot of opinionated language in places. I'd also split the large Reception paragraph into two. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 00:23, 13 November 2024 (UTC)reply
@SkywalkerEccleston:@Glimmer721:
Thanks to the recent work on the two Yeti serials, as well as Skywalker's work on The Wheel in Space, season 5 has made some significant progress on it. Glimmer, I've seen your work on The Enemy of the World recently (Looking good so far), and it made me wonder: Would it be possible, perhaps, for all three of us to collaborate to finish this GT?
Following The Enemy of the World's nomination, all that would be left to work on are The Tomb of the Cybermen, The Ice Warriors, and Fury from the Deep, and then the season article. If all three of us were to work on this together, assuming Glimmer works on Enemy (Which I am also willing to help with, if needed/wanted), that would be one serial per person, followed by a collaborative effort to work on the overall season article. This definitely seems like a pretty plausible good topic to be able to finish, if you all would be interested in partaking in it.
Obviously fine if not, and additionally it would definitely be possible to work on at a later date if needed, but I figured I'd shoot the suggestion out there given our numbers. Please let me know what you think! Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 01:55, 16 January 2026 (UTC)reply
I don't see why not. For my part I'm happy to work on either of the other two (I can re-use some of my Ice Warrior content on The Ice Warriors, and for Tomb it's a big article and I happen to have some good dev info pieces in a primary source Cybermen guide). Depends what Glimmer would prefer to take, if they wish to participate. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 02:20, 19 January 2026 (UTC)reply
I have nominated Tomb for GAN. Now all that's left to be taken on is The Ice Warriors. I am fine to take this on at a later date once some other projects are finished, but otherwise if either of you want to take it on instead let me know. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 09:44, 31 January 2026 (UTC)reply
The Ice Warriors is currently up for GAN. I have a few projects I intend to hit up next (Namely The Zygon Invasion) so I'll see when I get around to Season 5's article. Right now all that is left individual story-wise is The Enemy of the World. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 05:52, 3 April 2026 (UTC)reply
I have been working through adding reception to these. Enlightenment was done in 2013 and could be udpated to be more in-line with our current GAs in terms of format and there's also a [citation needed]. Glimmer721 (talk) 03:00, 9 January 2026 (UTC)reply
Yeah, sure, though it does need a lot of work. The DWM edition for series 4 has the finale at 20 pages, so it will take some time to make all the changes to "production". DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 07:02, 26 November 2024 (UTC)reply
Anyone has any ideas to how we can promote 2005-present to FL? I tried making it like that of the classic era, but that list's FL is so ancient, it would probably end up demoted too instead[Joke]. DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 08:08, 25 October 2024 (UTC)reply
I don't see it being that difficult to get promoted. Making sure sourcing is up to par, including phasing out Doctor Who News where possible, is something that needs addressed, I might also suggest a slight overhaul of the lead, it's very generalized and about the programme as a whole, containing very little information about Doctor Who since 2005 itself, which I could see being a potential critique.
Perhaps we could start with the 2005 list, get it up to current FL standards, and then reverse model it back to the classic era to ensure that both are where they should be. TheDoctorWho(talk)20:52, 25 October 2024 (UTC)reply
Thanks so much! I think some sourcing needs to be fixed but otherwise, it's almost nomination ready?? (I haven't done this in like 10 years lol) Glimmer721 (talk) 15:17, 3 November 2024 (UTC)reply
Yeah, I got busy again...I'm more available next week? I'm just afraid of being away for a couple of days at a time. Perhaps co-nominating is best? Glimmer721 (talk) 03:27, 26 November 2024 (UTC)reply
We should probably put series 15 for peer review when the last of the above gets picked up for GAN review- which, because of the GAN backlog drive, should probably be first week of Feb or earlier. DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 14:08, 29 November 2024 (UTC)reply
I'd be willing to help out with series 13, as well as co-nom a GAN, once you get around to it. It should give me just enough time to wrap up work on the 2022 specials. TheDoctorWho(talk)03:37, 18 October 2024 (UTC)reply
Would you like to help out on Series 13, TheDoctorWho- I can do the part which involves reading through the Yearbook and reviews, and you can add info per the BTS videos (they are linked on its talk page already)? Good job on the 2022 specials btw. DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 16:44, 26 November 2024 (UTC)reply
Absolutely, I'd love to! I should hopefully be able to start on this over the next few days, within a week at the latest. Shouldn't take me too long with the amount of content that is available. TheDoctorWho(talk)18:30, 26 November 2024 (UTC)reply
I have fixed many of the issues, and only a few remain. I might not be able to edit properly for the next few days, so I have GANed it already, as they take time to get picked up, and so you can add the info between now and then. Feel free to add yourself as co-nom. Also, I have sent you a source on Discord which can be useful, but can be hard to find online. DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 17:05, 28 November 2024 (UTC)reply
Sounds good. I'm a tad busy currently with the holiday, but I should definitely have time to buckle down and knock it out after Sunday (which will presumably still be well before the nomination is picked up). It looks like you've already added quite a bit, I'll see what else I can pull from the videos and any other online source I find. I've responded on Discord. TheDoctorWho(talk)00:04, 29 November 2024 (UTC)reply
@Pokelego999, DoctorWhoFan91, and Pokelego999: pinging you guys here for ease of discussion without having to paste this update multiple places. I'm experiencing a bit of burnout right now in terms of major research and writing projects. I still plan on helping out where and when I'm feeling up for it, but don't currently feel comfortable making specific promises on when I'll have specific things done.
That said, it doesn't really seem to be affecting any of my back-end work, so I'll still help out with the newsletter, and participate in discussions, and work on all of my GAN's that have already been nominated or co-nominated. Outside of that, I'll likely keep making minor updates to things I see that need fixing.
This type of burnout doesn't typically last long for me, so I hope that I'll be back to my regular participation levels by the time series 15 airs for me so we can hopefully work towards a GT for that while it's airing. In the meantime, when I do feel like making more significant edits I'll probably focus on series 13 first given that it's already been nominated for GA. After that I'll move on to the series 7 mini-episodes (I honestly don't expect the series 7 GT to get demoted tomorrow or anything given that we've had a discussion about what we're working towards and know what we need to do). TheDoctorWho(talk)18:35, 4 December 2024 (UTC)reply
Hope the burnout ends soon. Glad you told us. (I can try to make the edits to series 13 if you want-there is a GAN backlog drive next month, so I think it will be unreviewed for atleast this month, so take your time). DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 22:55, 4 December 2024 (UTC)reply
@TheDoctorWho: Great job on getting two more articles in this topic to GA. Does it seem likely that you would finish up Series 13 by the end of the year, because I can finish it if you want- as I might ask someone to review it as part of a 'quid pro quo'. Also, let's finish up the revived series list to FL- this goal might get completed in Jan, if not Feb, it seems (@OlifanofmrTennant: you were planning on editing the lead, right?). We have all signup for the WikiCup, so two birds with one stone. DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 13:45, 21 December 2024 (UTC)reply
Series 15 is at PR.(we just need reviews now, bcs PR doesn't get much reviews honestly) Series 13 is a GA, and the list of episodes is either gonna be an FLC soon or never (why doesn't the BBC release the appreciation index itself anymore :(). DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 10:46, 26 January 2025 (UTC)reply
I'd love to help where I can! I may not have a chance to do much until after the holiday weekend is over, but I should be able to split my time between these and series 13. TheDoctorWho(talk)06:33, 28 November 2024 (UTC)reply
@OlifanofmrTennant: I sincerely apologize for the delayed response. As the burnout I mentioned previously started to fade I got swamped with a number of my GAN's getting reviewed in one swoop. I'm still interested in helping out with these and I'll try to get to them over the next few weeks. TheDoctorWho(talk)04:07, 11 January 2025 (UTC)reply
Inspired by the above Zygon proposal. Probably our closest to being a successful GT of the alien species in terms of sheer article count since only World War Three needs promotion and isn't too hard to do. Will probably hit up World War Three at some point soon and send this off at some point unless there's any gaps I'm missing. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 01:31, 20 February 2026 (UTC)reply
@Olliefant Oh, I'm so sorry about that! I didn't realize you had started work already. I have no issues with that. Feel free to add yourself when you get a chance.
A small note; given how small this article is, I've elected to axe the SFN citation format, especially since only The Complete History is cited a lot. This should make citations easier. Otherwise I've left any other changes of yours intact. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 18:15, 20 February 2026 (UTC)reply
@Olliefant largely to represent their appearances in The Sarah Jane Adventures. Admittedly was a bit iffy on if this should be included or not, but I figured I may as well. If you've got qualms let me know. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 18:16, 20 February 2026 (UTC)reply
This is now completed - well done contributors. I'm not sure how to move it to the Completed section (is it as simple as copy and pasting?) and would appreciate if someone could show me how. Thanks. SkywalkerEccleston (talk) 08:06, 28 March 2026 (UTC)reply
@SkywalkerEccleston Yes it is pretty much just as simple as copy pasting it to the section (Taking care to remove the topic up here as well) while encasing the discussion and comments in those little gray boxes (I forget the name of them but they're the ones in the completed section right now.
I'll go ahead and add the recent Midnight Entity GT to it, as we're on the topic and that hasn't occurred yet, though I'm fairly certain that, for the Slitheen, this should only be moved down once the topic is actually promoted (It currently is still going through the process at Wikipedia:Featured and good topic candidates). Once it is feel free to give it a shot. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 03:33, 30 March 2026 (UTC)reply
I will be making the Belinda Chandra article from scratch at some point soon, since I've found necessary sources to pass GNG. Just need some time and I'll bang her and Ruby's articles out. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 04:57, 3 July 2025 (UTC)reply
As I always say, not the best with character articles, but I hope to help out with S15 over the next few weeks and then Gatwa's article once I wrap up some current projects TheDoctorWho(talk)05:17, 3 July 2025 (UTC)reply
I will likely begin work on the Fifteenth Doctor's article once I'm on break from college (Which will hopefully be in a few weeks). Hopefully Gatwa should be promoted by then and if so hopefully this nom will be able to make some further progress to passing. Excellent work from everyone involved!
