Signpost Technology Report

Each issue of the weekly WP:Signpost newsletter has included a "/Technology_report" page, with subtitle "Bugs, Repairs, and Internal Operational News". Each technical report focuses on changes to Wikipedia's technology, including new features, bugfixes, and announcements of technical conferences. Some of the recent (or upcoming) weekly issues are:

Each page as "/Technology_report" is only 1 part, of perhaps 7 or more, within each weekly issue of the WP:Signpost newsletter. The archives of older issues can be searched, as explained below.

Searching archives

Previous issues go back several years to 2005, so it might be necessary to search the older issues to pinpoint some specific topics of interest.

Note that each year index will link to the top-level Signpost pages, one for each issue, where each issue's technology report will be a link inside each of the top-level pages.

An example of a search would be to click "WP:Wikipedia_Signpost/Archives" and enter the word "parser" in the search-all field. The resulting search will show a list of the matching Signpost pages, each with a partial phrase containing the search term (in this case, the word "parser") as it appears within the text of each matching page.
