Open Pathology Education Project aims at providing open pathology educational resources for students and educators. This project involves developing, curating and sharing pathology related educational material under CC licenses. The aim of this project is to use CC licensed material to create an educational module in pathology for medical students. This project is made possible by Creative Commons Education Platform Activities Fund, where User: Netha Hussain is a grantee for the year 2020. User: Fidha Hussain created and added the SPARQL queries for querying the images using the Wikimedia Commons Query Service.

Workflow

  • Identify the list of topics related to pathology (/List of topics)  Done
  • Create short explanations about each of these topics
  • Find the corresponding Wikipedia article(s) related to the topic  Done
  • Find images related to each topic from Wikidata (Use Wikimedia Commons Query Service)
  • If images are missing, search existing images and add structured data to them.  Done
  • Add descriptions to the images
  • Social media promotion
  • Blog post about the final product
