Wan Kuzri bin Wan Kamal (born 9 August 2002) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for the Akron Zips men's soccer team.^[1][2][3]

Early life and education

Kuzri was born and raised in the United States.^[4] He is a native of Carbondale, Illinois.^[5] As a youth player, Kuzri joined the St. Louis Scott Gallagher Academy.^[6]

Kuzri attended the University of Akron.^[7]

Career

Kuzri has been called up to represent Malaysia internationally at the youth level.^[8][9] Kuzri has received comparisons to Croatia international Luka Modric, Malaysia international Safiq Rahim and Germany international Toni Kroos.^{[10][better source needed]}

Personal life

Kuzri is the younger brother of Wan Kuzain, a professional soccer player in the United States.^[11][12] His older brother, Wan Ahmad Fayhsal, is a Malaysian politician.
