Hello. I remember you did an awesome work with the Hulk Hogan article. As you know, there are many articles focusing on week per week TV plots. Would you take a look on the Kurt Angle article? I have tried to summarize, but I have seen a lot of his career (specially, TNA) it's hard to trim. HHH Pedrigree (talk) 18:04, 31 August 2025 (UTC)

On 12 January 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Japan Cup, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that, to help the 1989 Japan Cup winner Horlicks overcome homesickness from traveling to Japan for the race, her trainer used a dressing mirror to make her believe she had a stablemate? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Japan Cup. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Japan Cup), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

Hello. First, it's sad to see a GA being demoted. However, you know, pro wrestling articles are hard. Anyway, while I think the article will lose the GA category, I tried to summarize the career. Since you did the same with Hulk Hogan, would you take a look on the article and summarize it? Thanks HHH Pedrigree (talk) 12:51, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for quality articles around horse-racing, especially in Japan such as Japan Cup,Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing (Japan) and Mairzy Doates, for a modest user page offering help, for assembling sets for DYK, for taking advice from reviewers constructively, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

Hello, this is in response to the Pay The Butler (Horse) wiki article.
First, I would like to thank you for the contributions on this horse's page and the sources provided. I can see that you've provided credible information on his page throughout the recent history. The only edits that are of issue are the ones relating to the fictional character adaptation, and I would like to provide clarification on the reasoning of the omission:
In order to honor the legacy of the horse and his owners/breeders/trainer(s)/jockey(s) and to preserve the integrity of the page, all unofficial affiliations/representations of the horse in pop culture should be removed. Cygames does not hold rights to this horse's likeness, even though the name was changed. They also do not hold rights to any of the other horses depicted with alternative names until proven otherwise. These names were changed to avoid conflict/interfering with the real horses legacies, which includes the discouragement of edits on these horses' pages. There are still many people who may view these pages who are not here because of pop culture. If permission to use the horse's likeness and name cannot be obtained, we must assume by default that owners/breeders/trainer(s)/jockey(s) do not want affiliation with Uma Musume.
The wikipages of racehorses are meant to provide information on the horses in a professional manner, without influence of pop culture unless officially affiliated. This helps keep clutter off of the pages that do not provide substantial or appropriate contribution. The entry on Secretariat's page regarding BoJack Horseman should also be removed, as it is unsubstantiated.
Please note, there is an ongoing issue of pop culture-influenced edits on racehorses that have no reasonable affiliation with Cygames, and many horse race enthusiasts do not take kindly to these edits as the franchise is controversial to some. Many horse owners do not want their horses depicted by anime girl characters, and such depictions may be offensive or disrespectful.
I mean no disrespect by these edits. I have been in the horse industry for over 12 years, and owners take great pride in their horses. These omissions are to maintain the pages and to honor the horses and their respected parties.
Thank you Twicecut (talk) 22:32, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
Please use the minor edit checkbox only for simple non-controversial edits such as a spelling correction, punctuation move, etc. Word changes, rephrasing, and adding citations are examples where minor should not be used. The tag allows one to "hide" those edits from recent-changes and watch-list notifications. Some recommend to not to use it at all. I do not use it; my recommendation. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 01:04, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
Just curious. On this edit to Pay the Butler, did you change the {{use mdy dates}} tag or did the bot? I've heard several times not to do that, but never read any policy on it. Don't bother changing it back unless you find the policy note. I'll ask the help desk. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 20:49, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
Found it! On the top of {{use mdy dates}}, there is The parameter
Cheers Adakiko (talk) 20:57, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
|date= is intended to track the most recent month and year in which an editor or bot checked the article for inconsistent date formatting and, if any inconsistencies were found, fixed them to comply with this template's date formatting preference.
Hello, thank you for your dedication to the racehorses.
In regards to PtB, I can see that there is a bit of a grey area between WP:Trivia and WP:Popculture. I understand that citations do not need to be journals or academic articles necessarily, but they should also not be sponsored content and of significant substance. (See WP:Trivia) Of the sources provided, only one mentions this horse’s name in the article, which is very short and mentioned only in one or two sentences. It is also a rough translation, along the parameters of “presumably -this horse’s name-.” Please review WP:RS under Context Matters.
Key points: • Character’s name and race year were purposely changed or not mentioned to avoid direct correlation. • Character is fairly minor, only appearing for about 15 minutes throughout the whole series. • Owner/Breeder of horse has not publicly acknowledged reference (See WP:POPCULTURE under Good and bad popular culture references, using the guideline checklist at the bottom) • Only one reliable source briefly mentioning basis of fictional character adaptation was provided. (Need multiple, and other two are articles of anime episode run-downs)
I am going to get outside opinions from other editors who are not invested in this article. If outside opinions support, I will either recreate the “In Popular Culture” section of this page and move the adaptation and citations to there; or more appropriately, instead add a “See Also” section and link Cinderella Grey from there. We can work something out. I do not plan on editing the page any further or be subscribed to it.
Again, I appreciate your contributions to these race horses, and I understand that opinions differ on relativity. My goal is to keep these at-risk pages clear from trivia when the horses are not directly involved with the franchise. Twicecut (talk) 17:28, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
