Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Information icon Hi OveGjerlow! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Harold Meyerson several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Harold Meyerson, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Please self revert your last edit. There is NO context which you speak of, it's a random out-of-place blockquote.. JesseRafe (talk) 16:30, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

He's a social democrat. The quote shows policies consistent with that he advocates. OveGjerlow (talk) 16:32, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Please read our policy on WP:IDIDNTHEARTHAT. That is not segued by any of the proceeding text. It is a long blockquote presented without context, introduction, milieu or anything that could help a reader see what they are reading and why. Please consider reverting, or rewriting it to not be a burden on an otherwise good article. JesseRafe (talk) 16:35, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
I move it up under the relevant paragraph. OveGjerlow (talk) 16:36, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
You obviously did not read the linked policy guideline. You are now bordering on WP:COMPETENCE because you are digging in on the position that there is context for this quote? There is not. It is random and out-of-nowhere and was justly removed. You have made no attempt to justify its inclusion other than stubbornness and that is not how a collaborative encyclopedia is built, nor how good articles are made better. Please remove the quote, or provide sufficient well-sourced, non-primary references. JesseRafe (talk) 16:39, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Added "Just as Sanders looks to Scandinavia for models for America, so does Meyerson." OveGjerlow (talk) 16:42, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please read the policies linked above. Read them, internalize them, and then reflect. I've removed this nonsensical passage again, don't re-add it. It's incredibly long and adds extremely little to a reader's understanding of the subject. JesseRafe (talk) 16:17, 16 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made editsto Special:Contributions/76.182.72.170 while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. JesseRafe (talk) 20:23, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Harold Meyerson, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Texas Pete, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Larry Hockett (Talk) 17:49, 7 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Harold Meyerson, you may be blocked from editing. Stop it. There's no consensus for the inclusion of this content. It's just plopped in inelegantly and without context, and is like 20-25% of the article. It simply doesn't belong, and your post on the Talk page to include it (thank you for finally doing that) got no support. You haven't tried anything else to remedy this or present the content more palatably in any way, just cantankerously re-adding the same sore prose again and again. This behavior does not endear others to your position and may lead to adverse consequences. JesseRafe (talk) 18:30, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:S M Shah.png

Thank you for uploading File:S M Shah.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 18:48, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

October 2023 - Original research

Hi @OveGjerlow,

I wanted to ping you about your recent edits on Efficiency Gap in case you didn't see the talk page discussion that was started around them. I have to delete your edits again as they constitute clear WP:Original research. Please reach out if you have any questions as it looks like you're new to Wikipedia and I know these rules can take a while to learn. Otherwise, I'm going to have submit a request to have you blocked from editing that page for disruptive editing if the concerns are still not being addressed or discussed in the talk page. Blocked as a sockpuppet

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:Tertius51 per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Tertius51. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  PhilKnight (talk) 15:55, 6 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Please reinstate me. Tertius51 is an old colleague who was visiting. At that time, we talked about, and edited, the same articles. He doesn't live with me, and we will be more diligent not to overlap. OveGjerlow (talk) 2:31 pm, 2 February 2026, Monday (14 days ago) (UTC−5)

Decline reason:

Regardless of whether this explanation is plausible from a technical perspective, it does not address the edit warring and WP:MEAT. The issue is less that your IPs overlapped and more that you appear to be engaging in an unfair and uncollegial manner with respect to the rest of the editing community. signed, Rosguill talk 20:55, 16 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

The master account is now stale, so I don't know. PhilKnight (talk) 14:58, 6 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Who is the master account, and what is stale? I gave up. He seems to have, too. I read MEAT. We did some of that. I understand better now. Will avoid that. OveGjerlow (talk) 04:35, 23 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
