Orphaned non-free media (Image:NBA Logo.svg)

Thanks for uploading Image:NBA Logo.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:09, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi - just a quick note about your deletion nomination of Brian Regan (comedian), which I have just closed as a keep. Generally, articles are only deleted if they are shown not to meet our notability criteria. Simply saying that an article is of a low quality is not sufficient to convince other editors that it needs to be deleted since, if the subject is notable, it can usually be improved. TNT says that if an article is so bad that it would need to be completely rewritten from scratch if we were to retain it, but that argument only works in the most extreme of cases. Don't worry about this instance - no harm has been done, I'm just putting this here as a tip for the future. Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 16:39, 1 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Cornel Campbell

Regarding this, I explained at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2021 October 2 § Cornel Campbell the correct process for changing the page's title. If a consensus emerges to change the page's title, no RfD will be needed to delete the redirect. That's a technical matter that's taken care of as part of renaming.

If you'd like help setting up the requested move, I'm happy to help. I see you've been an editor here for a long time, and I'd hate to see you go. You have a reasonable request, and this could be sorted out as a requested move. But Wikipedia runs on consensus, and this is a potentially controversial move (whether or not it should be!) according to the talkpage, so some discussion is needed.

Also, please do not call me or other editors racists just for editorial or procedural decisions we make. Please see Wikipedia:Civility and Wikipedia:No personal attacks. Thanks. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 17:02, 3 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
