A tag has been placed on Effective C++, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Hentor Sportscaster, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Hentor Sportscaster. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. If you saw a mistake in the latest revision by an established editor, the appropriate thing to do is to simply correct it, not by reversion as you did here. Reversion (especially rollback type) is only used for obvious vandalism. You should review the conditions under which you are given the right. The idea behind [1] is that the link should point to the article itself. All article titles begin with a capital letter, so the article is titled "Percussion" not "percussion", hence the piped link. However, I didn't realize that "Percussion" is itself a redirect to "Percussion instrument", so I've changed the link again to point to that. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited ACB statistical leaders, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ACB (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

In reverting my edit to Tales from Topographic Oceans you ask "Why?" I made that edit in part per MOS:PSEUDOHEAD, and in part because MOS:NOTES contradicts WP:IC, though I believe MOS:NOTES should be limited by common sense (e.g., not naming a references section "AFEWEIM" or other random strings of characters). I renamed the "References" section to be more specific to its contents, of (inline) citations, and so that I could use that title for the non-inline citations. ({{Ping}} me for a more rapid response, though at this point I am mostly limited to editing using a cell phone, so it may still take me a few days.) —DocWatson42 (talk) 04:57, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2018-11-26T04:57:00.000Z","author":"DocWatson42","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-DocWatson42-2018-11-26T04:57:00.000Z-Regarding_your_question_of_\"Why?\"","replies":[]}}-->

Hello! I noticed that you reverted my edit on the page Yes (band) and I just wanted to explain to you why I did what I did. So, setlist.fm is a user generated cite/source and that is considered to be unreliable. If you have any problems with that, feel free to {{ping}} me here and/or start a discussion on my talk page and I will respond back to you as soon as I can! Hello @Jack:! I agree with your assessment of setlist.fm, but your edit broke the flow of the text. Originally it said something like "Their first date in North America followed on 24 June in Edmonton, Canada supporting Jethro Tull. Kaye performed his final show with Yes at the Crystal Palace Bowl late that July and was fired shortly thereafter. The decision was made after friction arising between Howe and Kaye on tour". Obviously, that decision being firing Kaye. When you just removed the second sentence, it read: "Their first date in North America followed on 24 June in Edmonton, Canada supporting Jethro Tull. The decision was made after friction arising between Howe and Kaye on tour", and this no longer made sense; friction between Howe and Kaye had nothing to do with the band playing in Edmonton or supporting Jethro Tull. Since I understand that the setlist.fm ref only applies to what was Kaye's last show, which is a minor detail indeed, I have edited that again to remove just that and leave the fact that Kaye was fired, which is supported by the following refs. If you are happy with that, we can leave it as that. Thanks for taking the time to write :) --Gorpik (talk) 09:28, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-03-18T09:28:00.000Z","author":"Gorpik","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Gorpik-2021-03-18T09:28:00.000Z-JackReynoldsADogOwner-2021-03-17T17:57:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->

Hello,
I noticed that you recently deleted two of the citations I added to the Lorraine Hansberry article, so that the source I added is only cited once. I'm new to Wikipedia, so apologies for my ignorance, but I thought that at least the two citations in the Beliefs section should be separate because they referred to two different page numbers (p. 271 and p. 272). I've tried checking Wikipedia guidance about this to see if I can figure this out, but I'm still a little confused. Would it be best to add p. 271 to the current citation, so it accurately reflects the page number range (pp. 271-272)? If you have any thoughts about this I'd be glad to hear them.
Thanks,

Hello @RVSNS:. First of all, welcome to Wikipedia and thanks a lot for contributing to it. I am sorry I did not notice that the pages were different in both inline references. Yes, I think it is better to add the page range, since it looks like it is a continuous source; since I mistakenly removed what you added, I can do that myself. Then, since this source is added inline, it is better not to add it to the External Links section too; this should only include a few links (if any) to general sources that are not included inline. Again, welcome to Wikipedia and my apologies for the misunderstanding.--Gorpik (talk) 16:32, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-03-29T16:32:00.000Z","author":"Gorpik","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Gorpik-2021-03-29T16:32:00.000Z-RVSNS-2021-03-29T16:19:00.000Z","replies":["c-RVSNS-2021-03-29T18:11:00.000Z-Gorpik-2021-03-29T16:32:00.000Z"]}}-->

Hello Gorpik, I noticed you've helped out on the Envy of None article. I've been working on the Maiah Wynne draft page and was wondering if there's anything you can do to help it be more neutral? Hello @Chanri3571: I trimmed your article a little, removing a long list of small talent shows. I also moved part of the info you provided in the lede to the biography, and included Envy of None in the lede, since that may be her most relevant activity. I don't know much about her, so I don't think I can contribute much more. Happy editing :)--Gorpik (talk) 15:46, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2022-01-15T15:46:00.000Z","author":"Gorpik","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Gorpik-2022-01-15T15:46:00.000Z-Chanri3571-2022-01-14T15:58:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->

Hello. No one has replied to my Topic on the talk page about Viggo so I will try here instead.[2] In this article(linked the wrong one before) Viggo states that he considers Denmark his home and feels home when he is there. Furthermorehe states that he has family in Denmark. That makes him Danish-American. I don't see the problem in the article saying Danish-AmericanI,it would not be misinformation. I note you reverted my addition to this article. You are correct, and I thank you for pointing out my error. However, it might be worthwhile adding instead that Andorra is the third most populous municipality in Teruel Province. @Rif Winfield: I agree, but we would need a reference for that to avoid WP:OR. A link to a list of municipalities with their populations would be enough, since trivial conclusions (such as identifying the third element in a list) is not considered original research. Thanks, that's fine now. However, it's about time that someone updated the populations in that list, which gives the 2005 figures that now need replacing by 2021 Census ones, if you're looking for something to do. Rif Winfield (talk)
