Hello! Welcome to Wikipedia. I can't recommend any specific article, but you could try setting your homepage to show you edits from music-related articles, and then looking through until you find something in a topic area you like.
Once you're a bit more comfortable with adding content to articles, you could take a look at Category:Heavy metal music stubs for a list of metal-related articles that need expanding. You can also do a search using categories to find specific combinations, such as Heavy metal articles which need copy-editing.
For a more general list of tasks you can try, see the task centre. You can use that to find the category for a specific task, then do a search for pages both in that category and Category:Heavy metal music.

That's fair. I guess I weighed the arguments to delete the current article against the suggestions for moving to pluviculture, whereas in reality I suppose someone suggesting deletion is indifferent to the title of the article before it's deleted. Editing tables is one of the trickier things to do on Wikipedia; if you're using the visual editor, you can double click on a table cell to edit its content, or click on the arrow next to a row or column (after you've selected a cell within that row/column) to insert, move, or delete rows and columns. Hello! Welcome to Wikipedia. Anyone can create a page, yes. For your first article, you'll need to go through articles for creation, where someone will review your article before it is published. I would suggest reading Help:Your first article to understand the process.

The basics is that you need to make sure your chosen subject meets Wikipedia's notability criteria, then create a draft using the article wizard. Once ready, press "Submit for review" and wait until your article is reviewed. Some helpful essays to read:

• Wikipedia:Writing Wikipedia articles backward, an essay on how to avoid a common mistake for first-time article writers

Consensus is not a vote. In the discussion I see one "Support" !vote that discusses pageview data, which is not really relevant to the discussion, and one which just says "per nom". On the other hand, the arguments against the move explain their position and cite policies to back up their arguments. I'm aware it's not a vote, but considering all parties have given rationales you seem to be employing a supervote here. Saying "per nom" just means I entirely agree with the nomination, which is a perfectly valid opinion and should not be discounted as you appear to have done. And I fail to see why Crouch's comment was not relevant. It was entirely relevant. I didn't discount your argument, or that of the nominator or Crouch, Swale. From what I gathered:

• The arguments in favour of moving are that the two articles exist and have a similar number of pageviews.
• The arguments against moving are that there are already hatnotes in place, and that WP:NCBAND (which is an official guideline) dictates that these are to use separate disambiguators and that they are already sufficiently distinct.

Dear mentor: it took me only a few weeks before I encountered a potential editorial war. I do not want engage into, thus I am asking for your advice. The articcle in question is : https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Pascal_Lottaz&action=history .

User Grapesurgeon moved page Pascal Lottaz to Draft:Pascal Lottaz without leaving a redirect: Not ready for mainspace, incubate in draftspace. Reason/s: more sources needed .

Being used to the US legal system, I find such remark "arbitrary and capricious" (see Standard of review for definition). The number of cited sources is comparable to the numbers in the articles about other International Relations professors (e.g. Steven Walt). I do not want to start a fight with Grapesurgeon. Hello! I don't really have time to look through the article, but I'll tell you some things that you can do. Firstly, the raw number of sources doesn't matter so much, it's more about the quality of the sources (i.e. are they reliable and independent?), and the extent to which they support the claims made in the article. Is if you have a shorter article, you'll generally need fewer sources. Wikipedia requires every claim to be backed up by a reliable source.

My suggested next steps for you are to either: message Grapesurgeon directly at User talk:grapesurgeon, and ask them to clarify exactly why they moved it back to draftspace, or submit it through articles for creation, where someone else will review it and decide whether it's ready for mainspace.

I don't think you can create pages until you are autoconfirmed, but you can either use the article wizard to create a draft in the Draft: namespace, or if you like I can create your sandbox for you, and you can edit it from there. HI! I have tried to make a start, but the sandbox looks different to the tutorials I have been watching. The citation button doesn't have a drop down menu. I have just done the introduction so I can await further feedback. Also, how do I add photos? There are lot freely available on line and I know they need to be credited, but I'm not sure about this either as I can't claim ownership can I ? Or does it come under the creative commons on here? I downloaded one but I wasn't sure how to proceed. I would appreciate our advice!

Hmm, I'm not sure about the differences in the editing menu. As far as I know, userspace pages have the exact same editing interface as mainspace articles. Is it possible you were watching an old video from a previous Wikipedia interface? The design has changed somewhat over the years.

As for photos, you will need to upload them to Wikimedia Commons. If you are upload photos that you didn't take yourself, you need to make sure that they are released under a Creative Commons license (one which allows both commercial use and modification), or a similarly compatible license. Oh, it's also possible that you were using the source editor instead of the visual editor, which was likely used in the video. Dear Mentor: I have databases about many subjects hosted on EndNote platform. EndNote can create reference list in many [styles], but not in Wikipedia-style. They can create such style for free, but they need an official request from Wikipedia itself (not from me) to do this. Hello! I'm just a volunteer editor like everyone else on this platform so I don't have any more authority than you. You can try to contact the Wikimedia Foundation, but won't necessarily get any useful results.
The Wikipedia visual editor allows automatic generation of Wikipedia citations and understands various different formats, so that's probably the easiest way to go about this. Hello! If you've submitted through AFC, there's not really anything to do but wait I'm afraid. Oh, it's articles for creation, the process by which new users submit articles to be published. You are correct that others can see it - anyone can in fact - however, it's still a user page, which means it won't get indexed by search engines and can't be linked to by other articles in the encyclopedia. Once it's ready, you can move it to "mainspace", which is where proper articles live.

As to the title, it should be a minimal identification of the subject of the article. So for a person, it would be their name.

oh thank you. I can see it has gone from my sandbox which is now a redirect page.

I got a message saying i need to clean up but I don't think I have to do anything ? I don't have a sort category on my page and I haven't changed anything on my sandbox links.

So presuming it meets the criteria, how long does the article take to get reviewed? I am hoping it does as I have sources and linked everything. Do I get a notification message or email or do I just need to keep checking in on wikipedia to see if it is there?

If you want to just find information that's already on Wikipedia, Horse § Anatomy is a good place to start. There are a lot of policies and guidelines regarding editing, too many to list here, but the main ones you need to know about are known as the core content policies, which are the bare minimum for articles. These are neutral point of view, verifiability, and no original research.

Heya, is there something Wikipedia editors usually use for library/newspaper-database access? I’m looking for contemporary coverage of a South Korean building collapse from the 90s, but a lot of archives are paywalled.

Also, is there anything you’d recommend for journal access given that Sci-hub kind of sucks now? I heard if you make 500 edits across 6 months you get access to the Wikipedia Library. Use whichever one the article currently uses; don't change it without good reason. I would also welcome an independent review of the concerns I raised regarding the proposed deletion of the Lawrence Irving Wilde article. I am concerned that the discussion has moved beyond a neutral assessment of reliable sources and has not fully respected BLP principles. Some comments appear aimed at discrediting the artist and his family rather than constructively improving the article.

alleged connections between family members and Wikipedia accounts;

claims of “family-wide” promotional editing;

birthplaces, name changes, and personal records involving the family. A BLP correction should not automatically trigger a notability investigation or become a reason to scrutinize an entire family. Notability may be reviewed separately, but the person reporting a privacy violation should not appear to be punished for raising it. The article should be assessed fairly on reliable sources, and ut is there , they are calming that not. There all google full info about him notability should not accessed when the BLP concerns are corrected independently. I noted that mother name there and his artist name Boguinia called birth name, now they called it former name but it be better for living person to be removed at all when he is changing his image. It can be some place in article if needed , but not in line with real life name. Artists has many names through lives. Those names are not listed in line with birth name. Hello! I would strongly suggest you don't. Wikipedia is not a business directory, it's an encyclopedia. Your company is likely not notable, so if you tried then the article would most likely be deleted. yes that's the article.so one of the movies was released in 1988 but it was put on the list of 1989 so I tried to fix it.after correcting it I realised the singer was given credit to for 3 songs of the film but I couldn't make 3 seperated attached rows for the same movie to write the names of 3 songs I had space for only 1 name however there some movies with the song name part divided into 3 or 2 other parts with the names and the number of songs written how do I do that?how do I make more rows in one row? Ah, got it. So if you're using the visual editor, what you can do is first make three separate rows and fill in all the information for each one.
