- I was wary of its length at first. The "History" section before 2024 updates is mostly translated from ru:VK Музыка, and the rest I tried to update in similar fashion. I also have deleted at least 3 sentences worth of info I did not consider notable to leave in the article. Could you please elaborate on what I could do to compress the article and where specifically?
- As for notability, I believe the article meets the following criteria (copied from WP:WEBCRIT, emphasis/brackets mine):
*The content has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent of the site itself. This criterion includes reliable published works in all forms, such as newspaper articles (Izvestia, Vedomosti, Meduza, The Moscow Times, RBC, Interfax...), magazine articles, books, television documentaries, websites, and published reports by consumer watchdog organizations except for media re-prints of press releases and advertising for the content or site or trivial coverage, such as a brief summary of the nature of the content or the publication of Internet addresses and site, newspaper articles that simply report the times at which such content is updated or made available, or the content descriptions in directories or online stores.
- Some of the references in my draft are VK press-releases and articles based on VK press-releases, but their number is hopefully negligible compared to the rest of the articles published on Russian streaming services and VK/VK Music in general.
- While fame or popularity isn't a criterion per-se, VK Music does report on average 46 mil. users monthly (out of whom 42.4 mil. live in Russia) as of Q1 2026.[1] And then there's the fact that VK is the developer and owner of the service, which I think could at least be taken into account, even though notability isn't inherent..?
- Thank you for your comment and thank you in advance for any further feedback on the draft! — EmoryNB (they/them) talk contribs 03:45, 2 August 2026 (UTC) — EmoryNB (they/them) talk contribs 03:45, 2 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
- It seems that I have left out the ping, should've probably responded on your page in the first place, my apologies. @Accesscrawl — EmoryNB (they/them) talk contribs 05:27, 2 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
- My concern isn't really the number of sources. It's that a lot of the article gives too much space to routine updates. I'd trim those down and let the independent coverage drive. Accesscrawl (talk) 05:53, 2 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
- Commented out a lot of update trivia and an excess bit on Russian Internet usage that was taken from the ru article: Special:Diff/1367294831 — EmoryNB (they/them) talk contribs 06:11, 2 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
- By the way, when I believe that I resolved a suggestion, what comment template do I use (and should I use any)? I can vaguely remember seeing a "Contributor's note" template on a draft I've read before registering, which had a blue exclamation mark icon instead of the yellow one... I may be misremembering though. — EmoryNB (they/them) talk contribs 06:14, 2 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
- I've no idea what you're referring to. Meanwhile, If you think it's ready, resubmit it. reviewer will get to it sooner or later. Accesscrawl (talk) 06:18, 2 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
- Well you hadn't rejected it, so it's still pending and there's nothing to resubmit — EmoryNB (they/them) talk contribs 08:14, 2 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
- oh yes, true. I forgot that i haven't reviewed it Accesscrawl (talk) 13:12, 2 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
