I'm a little puzzled by this edit of yours: "category correction" seems to mean category deletion, and the article's in the latest version of "Wikipedia:Good articles" under Arts > Art and architecture > Artists. Not that I particularly mind, but it's all rather odd. What's going on here? (Probably something very simple and innocuous. Simple and innocuous? That's me. Well, maybe a bit simple-minded... ;)
That's kind of my default AWB setting. Sometimes it's for category deletion, sometimes for category refinement, I guess you'd say. I'm doing a slow cleanup of Special:Wantedcategories. The one you're referring to was b/c with the option before, it created Category:Wikipedia good articles on artists. Looked in Category:Wikipedia good biographies, but couldn't find any pre-existing category that came close, so I removed it from there and a few others that had it. I thought about creating a category, but wasn't sure how to properly. In some cases, I've created categories where it seems appropriate. Otherwise, I've been taking away the redlink categories.
Hope that explains. If there's a better way to go about this, please to advise. I'm always willing to learn. I've heard that one learns from their mistakes. Which is why I am the mega-genius I am today, doncha know. ;) -Ebyabe00:20, 1 July 2007 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-07-01T00:20:00.000Z","author":"Ebyabe","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Ebyabe-2007-07-01T00:20:00.000Z-Hoary-2007-06-30T23:56:00.000Z","replies":["c-Hoary-2007-07-01T05:21:00.000Z-Ebyabe-2007-07-01T00:20:00.000Z"]}}-->

I noticed that you marked a passage in the article on the LACMTA Orange Line as having weasel words. Could you clarify what you mean, how is saying that "transit advocates" feel a certain way classify as a weasel word? (I'm new to the concept of weasel words) If you feel this way about that sentence, why not just fix it by rewording it to not include weasel words? I don't mean to be attacking you in any way, I've just noticed weasel words being marked for a while and I would like to see it fixed, I'd do it myself, but I don't see how. I wasn't really marking the passage, I was just changing the template {{WW}} to {{weasel-inline}}. The former, which someone else added, was creating a redlink category, Category:All articles with weasel words. The latter one achieved the same effect, without making the redlink, which is why I changed it. I'm trying to clear the Special:Wantedcategories backlog, and that was one of them. Hope that helps. As for the FL it seems that the key is a low percentage of non-red links. As far as article quality, oodles of the Chicago Landmarks articles are stubs. But in general I think a new format is needed for all of the articles "List of Registered Historic Places in . . ." First of, most of the lists link to the county in the headlines which is an MOS no-no and they are largely unwieldy as lists anyway, they are very long lists which makes them cumbersome off the bat. I like the list I concocted for List of properties (Central Park West Historic District), I like the sortable tables, I also like how Chicago Landmark used the images alongside the list and it still looked good. You will need some sort of text introduction that does the upcoming list justice, prepare the reader for what they are about to be overwhelmed with ; ). That's pretty much what I know about the process, I suggest reading over the Featured List Criteria.
Personally, I would like to raise several of my articles to FA level and then try to GA some related articles and then go for some Featured topics. Right now I think that Sycamore Historic District, University of Illinois Experimental Dairy Farm Historic District]], Central Park West Historic District, Frank Lloyd Wright-Prairie School of Architecture Historic District and their affiliated articles would all have a good shot at featured topic. They all need a bit of work but it would be a good thing to shoot for I think, racking up featured material would be great, it might be a reason to start thinking about the portal, A-class reviews (which I have a much better idea about now) again. Hello, I would like to draw your attention to the discussion at WT:WPM#Symplectic geometry or symplectic topology?, where it was decided to create a new category Category:Symplectic geometry and move articles which are currently misfiled under Category:Symplectic topology there. It seems that in the middle of this process you have started to roll back to symplectic topology. It would probably be easiest if you undid your changes. Would it be possible for the category to be created first, please? I'm patrolling Special:Wantedcategories, and these showed up as redlinked categories, which is why I moved them. Isn't it better to have the category exist before moving stuff into it? Otherwise, someone else might do the same thing I did. Yes, you have a good point. The locater maps on a lot of the historical site articles are giving me a problem. Many of them show the site displaced to the northwest form the actual location, so that sites on the west coast of Florida show as well out in the Gulf of Mexico, and sites in the Florida panhandle show as being well into Alabama. I have been adjusting these maps by eye as I come across them. I notice that you have recently changed the locations on the maps for San Pedro y San Pablo de Patale and Escambe. With your change, San Pedro y San Pablo de Patale now appears in my browser to be in Gadsden or Liberty County, rather than east of Tallahassee, and Escambe now appears to be well west of the Apalachicola River, rather than in Leon County.
So, do those dots appear in the correct location for you? -- Donald Albury13:24, 3 July 2007 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-07-03T13:24:00.000Z","author":"Dalbury","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Dalbury-2007-07-03T13:24:00.000Z-Locater_maps","replies":["c-Ebyabe-2007-07-03T14:17:00.000Z-Dalbury-2007-07-03T13:24:00.000Z"]}}-->
I'm not sure what happened, but they did get skewed. The changes I made have them showing correctly in my browser. If yours is showing differently, then I don't know what the problem is. There's always the drastic step of just removing all the maps completely. My goal anyway is to have pictures in all the Florida nrhp infoboxes. Hello, Mr. Ebyabe: I have made several baseball edits to Wikipedia in the last month. You incorrectly accused me of being a "sockpuppet" of Ron Liebman. I am not involved with Ron (I have heard of him.) and the research is mine. Many of my edits, which I took the time and trouble to make, have been reverted. Either Wikipedia, or you specifically, must have a vendetta against Ron, who is a household name in the NY area, and has a good reputation in baseball. Ron is big enough to fight his own battles. I am seeking unblocking (reinstatement to Wikipedia) with my edits restored. (The edit you complained about was Piazza's 15-game rbi streak in 2000, which is known to be 2nd longest ever and is documented in many places including 2007 SABR List & Record Book - which has the blessings of major league baseball). Please reinstate me - without the need for arbitration. I left a message with John Reaves - apparently the administrator who approved the block. Please get this straighted out. This is embarrassing to me. Thanks a lot. This was obviously a misunderstanding on your part. Thanking you, Barry Friedman --149.4.108.3515:39, 2 July 2007 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-07-02T15:39:00.000Z","author":"149.4.108.35","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-149.4.108.35-2007-07-02T15:39:00.000Z-Appeal_from_Barry_friedman","replies":["c-Ebyabe-2007-07-02T16:08:00.000Z-149.4.108.35-2007-07-02T15:39:00.000Z","c-Ebyabe-2007-07-02T16:09:00.000Z-149.4.108.35-2007-07-02T15:39:00.000Z","c-Ebyabe-2007-07-06T00:38:00.000Z-149.4.108.35-2007-07-02T15:39:00.000Z"]}}-->
You needn't have an account to edit. You can do so from the computer you're using now. However, the information you add must be from reliable sources. Simply saying it's from some book or other is insufficient by Wikipedia standards. You need to add the specific information. The section on citing sources should be read, so you can get a better idea of what is required. Understand, that the type of unsourced edits you made, if I hadn't removed them, someone else would have somewhere down the line, b/c you didn't cite them. So in a way, I did you a favor, since there could have been a whole bunch more articles that would have been reverted.
Oh, and to clear a misunderstanding. I'm not accusing the real world Ron Liebman of anything. Far from it. I don't believe he has anything to do with the person calling themselves "Ron liebman" on Wikipedia. I'm sure the real Mr. Liebman would never be so petty and unethical as to use different accounts to make changes which they should know by now would be reverted, since they're never cited. Or that he would feel the need to change the article about the actor Ron Leibman to say that the two are often confused. I'm sure the real Mr. Liebman's ego is secure enoug to know that, no matter how famous he may be in baseball research circles, to the general public he is completely unknown. It would be like saying that if, say, there's a grocery store clerk Paris Hilten in Hoboken, Illinois, she's often confused with the New York socialite, Paris Hilton. Everyone's heard of Paris Hilton, but if the Hoboken Hilten exists, no-one outside of Hoboken is likely to have ever heard of her.
Actually, you should consider contacting the actual Mr. Liebman and inform him of the person vandalizing articles here in his name, potentially damaging his good reputation. Maybe you can even find the impostor who's doing this, since they seem to be using the same library computers as you. B/c if the impostor continues, the entire library system there could be blocked from editting Wikipedia for a prolonged period. Which would not only inconvenience the vandal, but you or anyone else attempting to make genuine contributions.
So, why not make your edits using an anonymous account like you are doing now. If you can make edits that are appropriately cited, it would go a long way towards proving your good intent. Hope this helps. -Ebyabe16:08, 2 July 2007 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-07-02T16:08:00.000Z","author":"Ebyabe","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Ebyabe-2007-07-02T16:08:00.000Z-149.4.108.35-2007-07-02T15:39:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->

Oh, I completely agree; I'm more than 90% certain it's Ron. Who, from what Baseball Bugs has been able to determine, is the baseball researcher Ron Liebman after all. Which somehow brings to mind the line from The Breakfast Club, "Demented and sad, but social." Which I suppose some could say about Wikipedia. But you'll have that. :) Yeah, with the type of user name, and the style of edits, if it's not him, it's someone doing his dirty work for him. But I couldn't resist the opportunity to make another plea for sanity. I can be naive that way... :) -Ebyabe23:43, 3 July 2007 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-07-03T23:43:00.000Z","author":"Ebyabe","type":"comment","level":4,"id":"c-Ebyabe-2007-07-03T23:43:00.000Z-Georgewilliamherbert-2007-07-03T23:27:00.000Z","replies":["c-Baseball_Bugs-2007-07-04T02:38:00.000Z-Ebyabe-2007-07-03T23:43:00.000Z"]}}-->

Monthly Challenge: Submit an article to our Jumpaclass competition! Languishing unloved, it is a great way to improving that article you always meant to improve but never got round to. Challenge someone else to go head to head and see who can improve their article most!
Our Deputy Coordinators have been doing a fabulous job so far. Well done!
The portal is now looking very snazzy, well done to Fireplace for all his hard work.
The list of LGBT people to be sorted has now beed reduced by 20%. Please help us with it, all of us adding just one person a day would have a dramatic effect!
The Core Topics is now largely complete. The original aim of getting some kind of publication out of it is extremely long term - any short term uses we can make of it are welcome on the project talkpage.
A suggestion was made this month that we start our own wiki. Although the conclusion was that we felt we were a part of Wikipedia rather than a stand alone organisation, it seems there is an LGBT wiki already, at http://lgbt.wikia.com/wiki/Main_page . Members may be interested in getting involved there.
The Collaboration is now getting rather short on suggestions. Article nominations for August through December would be welcome on the talkpage.
There is now a list of Missing LGBT Topics. Help is needed to work out which topics can be made redirects or need to be created. Please contribute is you can.
An LGBT banner that was created for Wikipedia's internal ads system has now been adapted so it can be placed on blogs and websites. The html is <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:LGBT"><img src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/76/Qxz-ad48.gif" height="53" width="445"></a> Please credit Miranda and link to her userpage: <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Miranda">Miranda</a>. The banner can be seen in action here. If you have a blog or a website, please consider adding the banner, either in a post or as part of your profile.

There is method to my madness. Usually. :) In this case, the former setting was creating Category:Non-article Unknown-importance Kent-related articles. It showed up on Special:Wantedcategories, which I'm keeping an eye on. The easiest fix was to change the importance rating to make it not create a redlink category. If you think that category should exist, however, I can create it and change them back. Just lemme know. Dear Ebyabe,
You appear to be active in WikiProject Miami, or have contributed a lot recently to Miami-related articles. I would like to invite you to contribute your opinions on a grant proposal for a project that may provide unique and helpful resources for Wikipedia in Miami.
Over the last six months, Wikipedia and Wikinews have been discussing a project proposal with the Knight Foundation which could create a new type of an environment for locally-oriented encyclopedic and news content. The general idea involves an official sanctioning of a local Wiki community in one or two charter areas, one of them being Miami. The Wiki community would be empowered to cover all things Miami -- even things that normally would not pass notability restrictions -- and cover both encyclopedic information as well as current events in the South Florida community. The proposal may even involve the creation of a physical "wiki space": some sort of a local room or office to coordinate efforts and provide community members with a place to create and edit articles.
I'm working on formalizing the proposal, and would like to invite you and other Miami contributors to a project brainstorming session via chat. The chat will take place this Saturday, July 14th, at 12 noon Eastern Time (9am Pacific). If enough people can't make it there will be an additional repeat meeting at some later time.
The online meeting will happen using IRC on the channel #wikipedia-miami -- you can use your own chat client or the use this handy link to join the chat. Please don't forget to provide your username when you log into chat.
I look forward to talking with you. Thanks! -- IlyaHaykinson04:26, 11 July 2007 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-07-11T04:26:00.000Z","author":"IlyaHaykinson","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-IlyaHaykinson-2007-07-11T04:26:00.000Z-Miami-area_special_project:_Your_input_needed!","replies":[]}}-->

Hey, I got your suggestion for another format option (#2c) for the NHL list, and set up a version using your idea. I think it looks pretty good, so please have a look. Let me know what you think on the NHL list talk page. Thanks!

I have lost the plot here. Please explain where I am going wrong. I don't use Medway because it is a local authority, a major river and river basin and a term rarely used by the locals who refer to the towns individually. Chatham Dockyard is not strictly Royal Navy but the ships are. I understood the correct solution is to tag the images Chatham Dockyard then tag Chatham Dockyard Royal Navy Kent etc. I have a further 32 buildings there to photograph so I need the category. Did you take all those pictures? Cool! I do a lot of local picture taking myself over here in Florida. Actually, your best bet for those kind of pics is to upload them at WikiCommons. Categorization there is more... relaxed there than it is here. It's the same as uploading them here, and they can be referenced as though they were on Wikipedia. If you need help, though, just drop me a line. I've become rather a pro on WikiCommons. Which you can see if you go here. :) -Ebyabe22:29, 14 July 2007 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-07-14T22:29:00.000Z","author":"Ebyabe","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Ebyabe-2007-07-14T22:29:00.000Z-ClemRutter-2007-07-14T19:14:00.000Z","replies":[],"displayName":"here"}}-->

Hi - You once added a death-metal category to this article and I'm just trying to do due diligence to notify its few editors of the prod notice. It was probably as part of the categorizing project, but I appreciate your going to such efforts. Hey, I saw your removal of a cat. I have reverted it, because there is a comment right above the cats saying that the article should be in both cats because it's a special case. Hopefully that clarifies your possible confusion. Looking good, sorry it took me so long to respond. I am not sure how they feel at FL about where the images should go. It seems I saw a comment along the lines that they shouldn't be embedded in a table but I think they look good in their if the pics are decent enough at thumbnail size. I have been working on my own list but its not near where I want it yet, I like the text inclusion in the table, that's nice and something I would like to do with my own list (User:IvoShandor/Sycamore Historic District work page). Hi and thanks for removing the red links in the categories section of Polong, Pelesit, Toyol and Hantu Raya. I guess categories shouldn't be in red, but my problem was that there is a page titled Malay ghosts which provides a list yet I couldn't link up with it. If you can help, that'd be cool.
