I noticed that you had written this article, and that your user talk page didn't exist yet, so I just stopped by to say hi, and to ask a question.

There's recently been some discussion of notational conventions in articles about probability and statistics. I noticed that you didn't force operators (like Cov) to display as

So I'm sort of curious about your opinion on the question of notational conventions. Oh – you might want to edit this message to notice the difference between the two math expressions above; putting in a bit of extra space (\,) forces Wikipedia's graphics engine to display a larger version of the formula.

Thank you for improving the kriging page! I've waited a long time for this information, and am greatly indebted to you. In the meantime, several days ago I started to solicit other editors support for Article probation on the kriging article, in order to bring interference by cranks under control.
