I'd love to get in touch with you about the AfD discussion for Barry Schwartz and the overall dynamic between the SEO industry and Wikipedia. I don't know if you've seen the off-Wikipedia backlash about it, but it has created a real hubbub in the SEO space. I wrote something for my Substack that I think is well-balanced and reasonably accurate that I don't want to share here (that feels a little too promotional for a Talk page) but I'd send you a link to it if you're interested. I want to write a followup piece that goes deeper into people's reactions and motivations around the deletion, whether Keep or Delete. I also notice you've nominated a few other SEO- and marketing-related articles about companies and people for deletion (Conductor, Dotdigital, Thomas Borwick, etc). First question: I'm curious about the focus you've had on SEO-related articles, in terms of both deletion and editing. Is there a particular interest or concern you have with the current state of SEO-related articles? There are the ones I mentioned above (Barry Schwartz, Conductor, Dotdigital, Thomas Borwick) and I'm curious what's driving this. Do you have particular frustration with the SEO industry and its past and present actions on Wikipedia? Or is there a different reason that you have made an effort in this particular area? I did notice that you also started AfD discussions for other various startups, especially defunct startups, and technology companies, so I'm wondering if maybe this is just a broader effort to clean up articles in the tech and marketing space and SEO is just one piece of the puzzle.

After the January–February drive the article backlog was reduced to 15,179 articles and the redirect backlog to 19,053 respectively. Great job! However, both queues are growing rapidly and any additional reviews are highly appreciated.

2024 and 2025 NPP Awards

JTtheOG was selected as the NPP reviewer of the year for both 2024 and 2025, for reviewing the most articles amongst all reviewers.

Hey man im josh and MPGuy2824 won the Redirect Ninja Master Award for 2024 and 2025 respectively, for reviewing the most redirects.

Overall in 2024, one Platinum, two Gold, eight Silver, 12 Bronze and 45 Iron Barnstars were awarded. Additionally, 66 reviewers got the NPP barnstar for doing more than 100 reviews through the year. Setting the Dawn article aside, I wanted to ask how you would assess the subject's broader body of independent coverage.

Over the past several years, Dina Patel has been covered by a number of publications in relation to rallying and motorsport, including:

• Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty covering her victory at the Hub Rally Cross. (Included and cited in the article)

• BOL News profiling her rally career.(Included and cited in the article)

• Arab News covering Race Wars Pakistan and Pakistan's developing drift scene.(Included and cited in the article)

• PakWheels' editorial coverage of Race Wars Pakistan and other motorsport events.(Also included and cited)

Additional reporting covering the Cholistan Desert Rally, Hub Rally Cross and drifting competitions in Pakistan.

My understanding of the General Notability Guideline is that it considers whether a subject has received significant coverage across multiple reliable, independent secondary sources over time, rather than relying on a single publication.

Would your concern be that these sources are not sufficiently independent or substantial, or is the issue primarily that the current article does not present them appropriately?

If the article were rewritten into a concise, neutral biography focused solely on verifiable motorsport achievements and supported only by the strongest independent sources, would that better align with Wikipedia's expectations?

I'm genuinely looking for guidance on how the article could better comply with Wikipedia's policies. Given your experience reviewing new articles, I felt your perspective would be particularly valuable.

I think her notability is weak to borderline. It is obvious that someone is consistently trying to promote her. Please note that Wikipedia is not a platform for promotion. When a subject, or someone connected to them, tries to promote the subject, especially when their notability is borderline, the article is usually deleted.

I'm reaching out about your 22 July edit that redirected Pakistan Supercomputing Centre to Namal Institute. Disclosure: I'm connected to the organization the article covers, so I'm not asking you to reverse it on my say-so — I'd just like to understand your reasoning and see whether there's a path forward.

A few things made me want to check in directly: the article had gone through Articles for Creation and was accepted into mainspace by Dafootballguy on 7 June, and in the weeks after that it was independently expanded and cleaned up by several other editors (a sourced section on the National Centre of Excellence in Supercomputing was added, plus categorization work). None of that guarantees it should stay standalone, but it suggested the topic had already cleared at least one round of outside review.

Could you let me know what specifically prompted the redirect — notability, sourcing, something else? If it's a sourcing gap, I'd rather work on finding independent coverage than push back blindly. And if you feel it should stay merged, I'm fine taking it to Redirects for Discussion for outside input rather than relitigating it just between the two of us.
