Hi so I am making this page about the Amityville murders.

3:15 a.m. November 13th, 1974 Ronald "Butch" DeFeo went from room to room and executed his entire family as they slept.

It is time, after over three-decades, for the sad truths to emerge. This story is not based on hyperbole, theory or hearsay. It is based on nearly a decade of research from all over the country.

On November 13, 1974, Ronald "Butch" DeFeo, 23, allegedly walked from room to room in his family's three story Dutch Colonial and executed his family in cold blood. DeFeo was convicted of the mass murder, which, to this day, remains the record holder as the worst mass murder in Long Island history.

But the real truth never emerged. In a 2007 interview with Dr. Howard Adelman, the Medical Examiner who handled the DeFeo case, the Doctor admits that he has "no idea how one person could have committed this crime." It is time for the hoax of Amityville's "haunted house" to end. It is time for the truth. It is time for the DeFeo story to be told. It's sad. It's dark. But, it is THEIR story. It's tilme for the haze to be lifted; for the Hollywood version of events to be quelched.

November 1974 112 Ocean Avenue, Amityville New York.

Ronald "Big Ronnie" DeFeo 43, 270-pounds of pure egotism lay in the master bedroom of the three story colonial house his wife Louise DeFeo 42, blonde attractive mother of five, lays next to her husband the three youngest children are asleep in their rooms. Butch DeFeo sits in the basement with his two friends getting high Bobby and Junior Butch was lost in his haze while his sister Dawn tries to convince them all to kill their parents (Big Ronnie abuses his kids and tried to kill Butch by cutting the brake line to Butch's car.) as Butch comes out of his high and hears what Dawn is saying about how earlier that night their father threatened to kill Butch's wife, her two daughters from a previous marrige and her other daughter who was born and was Butch's child. Butch finally agrees that they have to kill their father and Dawn then says they have to kill their mother too because she's just as sick as their father he beats her and she still runs to him like suzie Q houswife. junior is told to wait in the car and honk the cars horn three times if anyone comes. Butch tells Dawn they need to take Allison, Marc, and John to their Grandpa's house before they kill their parents Dawn tell's him no if they don't kill them now they will "piss out". they go to their parents room Bobby's light finds Big Ronnie Butch takes aim at his father and freezes Dawn grabs the shiny cowboy-style rifle: a .35-caliber Marlin, lever-action rifle and takes aim and shoots their father in the back their mother screams and Butch grabs the gun and takes aim once more their eyes lock he freezes again but Dawn says "she could have helped us stopped the abuse the pain." Butch fires the gun.

1:05 a.m.

Big Ronnie gets up one shot won't finish him off Butch grabs the gun and shoots him Big Ronnie is finally dead from the bedroom they hear their mother has also survived Bobby shoots her stunned and sickend that he has killed someone he runs Butch follows Dawn picks up the gun and reloads it she walks to the boys bedroom and Butch collides with Bobby trying to get out they suddenly hear a

Butch runs up and finds his brothers and little sister Allison shot in their beds. he runs to find Dawn and he kills her for killing their borthers and Allison.

the truth is that Butch was beat up by the police and so was Bobby. Bobby gave the location where they dumped the gun and told them it was all Butch he gave them what they wanted so they let him go. Butch tried to plead insanity.

Butch DeFeo's bid to convince the jury of insanity and demonic possession failed. he was convicted to life and continues to serve his sentence at a New York State Correctional Facility in upstate New York. He was denied parole in September 2007. A year after the brutal murders, Jay Anson's "The Amityville Horror" turned the house at 112 Ocean Avenue into a pop-culture phenomenon. Amityville has since become an icon of horror. Geraldine DeFeo (Butch's wife) went on with her life. today, she is remarried and lives far away from Amityville and its nightmares.
