Armen Miran (born 11 June 1987) is an Iranian-born Armenian DJ and producer currently based in Los Angeles, US.[3][4][5] His work blends electronic music with Middle Eastern influences.[6]

Career

Armen Miran's love and passion for electronic music genres started at a very young age; spending the majority of his time at underground music scenes. His biggest influences include - Klaus Schulze, Pete Namlook, Bill Laswell, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode and Eloy.[7] In 2006, Miran began producing electronic ambient and dub techno sounds. He booked his first gig at Calument, a well known underground Armenian venue, where he played a mixture of ambient, Armenian electronic folk, and deep house tunes. After a short period Miran became a prominent figure of Armenia's underground music scene and a resident of Calument. In 2015 Armen moved from Yerevan to Los Angeles.[8][9]

Miran’s music is inspired by spirituality, mysticism, and nature.[10] In 2019, he launched his own label, Hoomidaas Records, and an event/production company called Reborn Project.[11][12][13] Since 2022 Reborn Project has held events in various international locations, including New York City, Toronto, Canada, Tulum, Mexico and Istanbul, Turkey.[14]

Armen's 2018 "[Private Party Project]" in Istanbul has garnered millions of views on YouTube.[15][16]
