I have general interests in history, art, music, and the theatre, with particular focus on Shakespeare and German theatre, as well as the history of New York. My background is in professional theatre and education, with advanced degrees in theatre, and extensive study in Europe. I have published in scholarly journals and newspapers, and translated numerous works. I was invited to the Wikipedia conference in Alexandria, Egypt, to make a presentation about creating and maintining scholarly sites for Wikipedia, but regretfully could not attend due to research I was conducting in Germany at the time.
I have encouraged other scholars to contribute to and edit Wikipedia sites, and have created several dozen such sites, winning the Wikipedia Newcomer Award for one of my earlier sites.
