Simple - I created this account as a medical student and a dysautonomia patient in order to correct misinformation on my condition. Armed with my own research and explanations from top autonomic specialists, my goal is to create a haven for dysautonomia patients and physicians to access. Hopefully this will aid many in receiving a correct, timely diagnosis.

Current Task List:

  • Add and edit pages reflecting mitochondrial disease's effect on the ANS and dysautonomia.
  • Make sure page on Autonomic Neuropathy is up to MedSoc's manual of style as well as full of information.
  • Adding additional pages as needed for autonomic conditions (MSA, PAF, AF) and testing (autonomic reflex screen, TST, QSART).
  • Editing dysautonomia information to reflect current knowledge, vs that of 2005 and prior.
  • Citing research as directly as possible from known autonomic specialists (S. Vernino, P. Sandroni, J. Cutsforth-Gregory, S. Blitshteyn, V. Iodice, et al.)

I would appreciate help with citations and style for anything I edit, as I am somewhat of a newbie to medical articles on Wikipedia. If you have any issues please send me a message and I'll be happy to offer replies. I'd like to work together with other contributors versus be at odds with them.
