My name, for anyone stumbling across this page, is Steve. I'm forty six years old, and currently live not far southeast of Seattle, Washington. I was diagnosed with a condidition called dilated cardiomyopathy in 1996, and received a heart transplant in March of 2002. I'm disabled for the forseeable future, thoiugh I assist in running an email support group for heart transplant patients, families, and caregivers, and I've recently helped to form Heart-Beats.org, intended to replace the smaller email group, and to be a truly worldwide resource and support community for patients and caregivers. Please also feel free to read about my own Transplant Journey. While I intend to add to my user page here in the future, those are the paces to get to know me.
