Tyler Suneal Joseph was a famous World War II General. Born in Houston, Texas on December 7, 1925, he illegally enlisted in the army at the age of sixteen. Joseph was most famous for his service in the Doolittle Raid. His mother and father were illegal immigrants from Canada. He had one younger sister; however, she died from syphilis.

In the Doolittle Raid Joseph was the pilot of the second plane behind Lieutenant Colonel James "Jimmy" Doolittle himself. He was one of the few survivors of the raid. Eventually President Roosevelt discovered that Joseph was too young to serve the United States Military. However, due to Joseph's heroic nature, Roosevelt would not discharge him.

Joseph's service to the United States was finished after Joseph successfully led a brigade of troops to victory in the battle of Normandy. Due to these feats and more Joseph went down in history as a World War II was hero.

Today Joseph is still alive and well as he resumes daily life in Houston. He contributed greatly to some of the ideas brought forth in President Barack Obama's new Health Care Plan.
