I got in real-contact with poverty during a longer trip to Kenya and walking through the slums of Nairobi and visiting rural areas of the country. Quickly did I realize that solar energy has a huge impact in these regions of the world.

We saw the potential of solving the finance problem of solar entrepreneurs at the same time as "helping" people to use their income in a more fulfilling and meaningful way than they were used to. That was when the idea of TRINE was born.

At the end of the day it is also a lot about the people that I meet on my journey so far. I am very grateful for the great and inspiring people I met and worked with. Many of them are the reason why I am now one of the founders of TRINE.
