He currently resides in Lakeville, Indiana, and attends the University of Phoenix online.
Son to Monty and Michele Layne, he is the older brother of Dominic and Brandon Layne. He developed an interest in sports at a very young age, and has enjoyed the game of basketball ever since he took his first step. Layne played Basketball and American Football as a child. He attended a total of five grade schools, and one high school.
In June, 2006, Layne would find the pressure of school too much for him, and he dropped out. Although, early January he would give high school another chance, it proved to be too much for the mad genius to handle. He went on to get a near perfect score on his General Educational Development test, and decided to attend the University of Phoenix online.
Layne first put on football pads in the 2001. In his first year of American Football, he was nicknamed "The Kid With The Golden Hands". His greatest feat was amassing over 150 yards recieving in one game, but he never scored a touchdown in his entire football career due to his slow, yet graceful running.
While attending Prairie Vista Elementary School, his team was undefeated in basketball for 4 straight years. Upon transfer to Union-North United Schools in 6th grade, he would never again be on a basketball team with a winning record. This would not however, dampen his need ball.
Upon earning his GED, Layne was faced with a lot of downtime, during which, he heard his call to the streets. It was on the small court on Lakeville, Indiana, that Layne would earn the name "The Vanilla Shake" for his pastey complexion and his signature move based on the legendary streetballer, Hot Sauce, or Philip Champion's move called "Sizzle. Layne traveled far and wide around Northern Indiana to find games with his since deceased partner on the court, Drew Pipp.
Layne is an avid fan of all things music. There is not a genre that remains unheard and unappreciated by the young Polymath. He even gave music creation a chance.
In 2006, Layne was part of a now defunct hip-hop trio called the "Midnite Walkaz". The group earned the name by walked long and dark stretches of road in the wee hours of the night. The group would release one single, "Weak Ass Bitch", and one Dance Mix before individual preferences would end the amazing trio's short-lived life as a group.
Layne has since then vowed to learn to play the piano and guitar, and eventually release his own solo work.
