Jeremiah A. Robinson (1882?-1912?) was an American painter, etcher, and author of occultist literature, affiliated with the Boston School; in the year of his disappearance, he was best known for public-facing roles in the Boston branch of the Hermetic Order of the Light Within All and the Guild of Boston Artists, and for allegedly masterminding a series of bank robberies in the Boston area. These robberies informed several security procedures implemented at the Boston Federal Reserve bank at the time of its creation.

For clarification:

  • Jeremiah Robinson is a literary creation.
  • The Guild of Boston Artists is real. Jeremiah Robinson was not a member.
  • The Boston School is real. Jeremiah Robinson was not affiliated with them.
  • Staff are to be reminded that Jeremiah Robinson does not exist.
