Sofia Åkerberg is a Swedish scholar working at Umeå University.

She is doctor of "idéhistoria", is working in Sveriges Lantbruksuniversitet and has Conspiracy Theories as a special interest.

She has among things held a critical lecture on Conspiracy Theories on the summer of 2003, a lecture that dissimsed the views of David Icke and was named "Konspirationism i teori och praktik" (Conspiracism in theory and practice). It was published by Föreningen Vetenskap och Folkbildning in a edit form on February 2004[1], something that made her to be a part of a article on Svenska Dagbladet on the same topic [2].
