crime machine is a thrash/death metal influenced punk band from portland oregon. it was formed in november 2007 by skinnee (nathan richardson), and other founding members include: casey lynch, aaron thomas, and dominick marone. crime machines music deals mainly in political and religious matters...but not exclusively. the band draws it's influences mainly from the original thrash/death era of the 80's, and from the punk rock movement as a whole. the band utilizes the two bass theory, (one clean and one distorted). other known bands that do this include butt trumpet, neds atomic dustbin, and oaklands oneinthechamber.
skinnee and casey moved to portland from los angeles after their departure from a reformation of legendary punk band butt trumpet. skinnee formed crime machine, and recruited friends casey and aaron, and later dominick. crime machine continued to write songs and record in their own independent studio over ther first year of the bands existence. while searching for drummer, skinnee played studio drums and wrote songs with aaron. the band found its first drummer, devon, in sept 2008 and played it's first two shows in the same night, first at plan b and then again later at a ne portland house party.
