Formative Assessments also includes diagnostic testing, its a range of formal and informal assessments put together by educators during a learning process to help learning activities and teaching strategies to help students learn better.

Summative Assessments is to study student learning when the curriculum done by comparing it against some standard or benchmark. A summative assessment could also be known as a midterm or final.

Authentic assessments can be devised by the teacher or be done by listening to the students voice answer the questions. Authentic assessments also ask students real world tasks to see how much knowledge the student has for that task.

Performance based: Restricted and extended Assessments also known as alternative or authentic assessment, is a form of testing that requires students to perform a task rather than select an answer from a ready-made list.

Selected Response Assessments is also known as true or false, multiple choice, or a matching for answer option. These question types can be very effective and efficient methods for measuring students' knowledge and reasoning. Are the most common when it comes to classroom learning.

Supply- Response Assessments students have to supply or construct their own responses and answers to the assessment. Also known as constructive responses.

Norm- referenced Assessments report whether test takers performed better or worse than a hypothetical average student, which is determined by comparing scores against the performance results of a statistically selected group of test takers, typically of the same age or grade level, who have already taken the exam.

Criterion-Reference Assessments it is designed to see what a student knows by a predetermined criteria or learning standards. Which is a written description of students are expected to know and do by a certain age level or grade.
