My name is Matt, and I'm from, and currently live in, Newport, VT. I've lived here my whole life, aside from a year and half i spent in Mooresville, NC attending NASCAR Technical Institute (graduated March 2008). I currently work in a small automotive repair shop.
As far as Wikipedia goes, I joined in November 2006, and made a few edits here and there, but didn't really get involved until around February 2008. Took a break for a few months in the late part of 2008, now starting to slowly get back into it. Aside from undoing vandalism i might come across, I generally keep to editing articles that I know enough about the subject to contribute... which means 99% of my edits are on articles that pertain to NASCAR in some way. I'm a fan of pretty much all racing, stock car/oval racing in particular, not just NASCAR. And i actually am a fan of racing... you won't hear me complaining that a track or a race is "boring". Nonstop side-by-side isn't a requirement for good racing... just having cars on the track is enough to keep my interest. I also enjoy watching the NFL and pull for the home team New England Patriots, though i mostly just follow football for something to do during the winter months so I'm not bored out of my mind when the speedways are buried in snow.
