I'm a Ph.D. plasma physicist who also holds bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics. I'm concerned by the (mis-)representation of science for political aims, including the formation of public policies based on pseudoscience or strained / biased interpretations of legitimate science.

My current area of research is magnetic reconnection in the Earth's magnetosphere. My dissertation revolved around an experiment oriented toward fusion power. If anyone has questions on either of these subjects, please post them on my Talk page.
